Voted one of the best meeting spaces in Seattle by Peerspace Open Door Awards, This 1930s houseboat is a one-of-a-kind place on Portage Bay, and was completely remodeled in 2020. Formerly owned by famous Seattle restauranteur Ivar Haglund. This is one of only four houseboats built on pilings, which means it doesn't float, you don't have to worry about getting seasick. Brainstorm your next strategic planning session with a front-row seat to all of the water activities on Portage Bay. The house sits 6-8 people comfortably and is very private. It includes an open living room, presentation monitor, full kitchen, and conference table. The sliding glass doors completely open up to the waterfront deck, creating an indoor/outdoor workspace with stunning views of Portage Bay, the University Of Washington, and both the University and Montlake Bridges. Across the street from the property is an Italian deli and grocery called Little Lago, which was recently rated by the Seattle Times as having one of the best thin-crust pizzas in Seattle.
