I did a video shoot with a few people here. The space is awesome and the host, Madeline, was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this space to others.
Tamara A. booked a birthday party for 30 people
Setting up the space was very easy and the host was very responsive. I really liked having Peerspace to view lots of options and was excited that this space was listed. It wasn't the original one at this location I asked for, but the smaller room worked for the date I needed so I reserved it. I have been to so many events in the other rooms over the last 20+ years, and have had many people book parties or shows here, so I had a lot of people to ask for references on their experiences here and felt confident reserving it. It turned out it was not great for me, but my guests had a great time. (My tallest friend couldn't stand up in the room because the ceilings are so low however.) If you rent through this site you will be required to pay the fees for the room upfront, which is standard, and you have to pay for the minimum for the bar, gratuity, and other fees upfront too, which was not expected. None of my other friends had to do this, and I understood from the site that they would hold those funds, the minimum, until the bar tab was met. Not the case. And although the server and manager were nice to my guests and karaoke DJ, when I was very upset about it, they were almost rude about it and told me that they don't even get paid until days after the event. That's not something I care about and is not something that is an excuse that I need to know about it. I also had to make sure that they didn't go over the "credit" I had so I wasn't charged even more. Its still upsetting
Kristina S. booked a 40th birthday party for 70 people
I booked the Grotto for my 40th birthday party. Madeline was a breeze to work with and the space was great; Far better than I even anticipated! The appetizers were on par with what I expected and the drinks were delicious. A HUGE thank you for the special fig cocktail - it was even better than my own recipe! This team is great, and I will definitely keep the Grotto in mind the next time I do a shindig.
Ashley P. booked a birthday party for 50 people
My boyfriend said it was not only the best birthday party he's every had, it was the best party he'd been to! The bartender Erica was super nice and helpful, the Taco bar catering was super tasty, everybody said it was delicious, and it was all around very easy to book and plan. These guys did a great job, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.
