I would like to acknowledge I got most of my questions answered, and the turnaround time could have been more timely. It often requires more than 2-3 attempts by email, text, or phone to receive a response. Prior to booking I had a conversation with Sean to review all areas included for the space; less than 48 hours after booking I receive a message that they have decided to reduce the space we paid for. We were assigned Krista as our liaison and she was slightly more accessible; just not on the day of the event, I had to call more than 3 times to address issues the day of. On walkthrough of the space the space looked nothing like the photos on peer space. The paint on the walls were dingy, chipped, and scuffed. The flooring immediately to the left on entering was severely buckled posing a trip hazard throughout the event. I asked for white couches without legs be moved during walkthrough and they were still present on the day of. Only one bathroom worked or was accessible. The couches with legs were dingy, scuffed, and lumpy. We ended up not being able to use the couches. I asked on booking if there would be any noise interference from the other space and was told there was a morning church service that would end an hour after my event started at 12p. This did occur, however, there were 4 other church services to follow with loud singing and music that severely interfered with our paid audience being able to hear the livestream of our conference. The space needs to invest in soundproofing to avoid this or be honest with people booking to allow them to make an informed choice. We were also told we had the kitchen with our rental and were not told that we would have to share it with people using the other space (including the one bathroom we had to share with guests renting the other space which contributed to constant interruption during our event). The day of facilitator Mervin was not helpful. His response was he didn’t know what was going on and was just told to be there to greet us. Even though he was on site, I had to text him several times to get him to attend to questions we had along the way.

The condition of the space is dilapidated. Floor boards are warped, walls are scuffed, furniture is dingy, tables and chairs are stained. The pictures are very outdated. Giving two stars because the communication after booking and assistance onsite was helpful. Would not book again or recommend booking without the owners putting some serious effort into repairing.

The space itself was fantastic. There were definitely some missteps in communication, particularly around loading in and loading out - the customer service aspect is quite average. Everyone is nice, but response times are lagging and there's an over-reliance on email and the portal - depending on the size and type of event, a more personal communication style might be preferred. The original space we booked was a mess when we arrived; we were given the courtesy of a gratis upgrade (which, I suppose, was the only alternative), so we can't complain though it was odd that our space wasn't ready for us.
