This 1929 estate offers a cloistered open wood-beam, cathedral ceiling "great" room with leaded glass windows. Hardwood floors, linen-plastered walls, and an unpolished marble fireplace provide an inviting, but neutral sanctuary. French doors open to an east-facing flagstone patio. A 6' grand piano and full size pedal harp are centered in the back of the room and a traditional organ is at the entrance. This room has been used for weddings, birthdays, graduation, dance and all types of parties; conferences, workshops, and other physically demonstrative activities. The rental rate includes the Gallery entrance from the front door, through a 35' tall rotunda graced with a 19=arm chandelier that is five feet wide. hung from large-link chains. The curved, floating staircase has the original, hand-wrought iron railing. The hardware is authentic throughout this historically celebrated home.
We are a no-smoking facility. Special oversight is needed for any smoking/fire scenes. Animals can be negotiated--we've had everything from penguins, to monkeys, to camels. No problem with outside food or drink.
