Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

We have limited capacity of our space down to 8 people, allowing for plenty of space to socially distance. We clean and disinfect all areas of the space after rentals, especially shared amenities. Large windows along the wall can be opened for ventilation. We have a kitchenette area with a sink where guests may wash their hands, and we have hand sanitizer available throughout the space.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

About the Space

The studio offers professional photography studio rental for photo shoots and video productions. Our space is located between South Loop and Chinatown. We have over 1,400 square ft, with a ~340 square ft photo studio. The studio features a custom made cyc (infinity wall) and large, east-facing windows equipped with blackout curtains. Includes a hair and makeup station with mirror, lights and clothing rack. The space also includes a lounge space and kitchenette area with sink. BACKDROPS: Two Superior colored paper backdrops are included with rental. Additional colors available at $10 per roll. If backdrops are ripped or damaged, additional fees may apply. Our current available backdrop colors are: - Arctic White - Jet Black - Neutral Grey - Fossil Grey - Flame - Bright Orange - Forsythia - Aspen - Cream - Pongee - Nutmeg - Thistle - Light Blue - Carnation Pink - Stinger Green LIGHTING (Not Included with Rental): 2-light flash kit (Bowens Gemini 500R) & LED panels (Aputure Light Storm) available AT ADDITIONAL COST (please inquire). PROPS (Included with Rental): Chairs, stools, brown sofa, white futon, black futon, tables, bench, plants, female mannequins OTHER: Wifi, loading dock, microwave, fridge, food café in building (weekdays only)

Ambient noise description

The space is generally quiet, but noise is unpredictable and uncontrollable. Neighbors can be heard if loud, and train horns can be heard from the nearby railyard. Air conditioner in shooting space is running during warmer weather.

Equipment loading description

Indoor garage accessible at front entrance (no large trucks). Loading dock in the back of the building. Loading trucks are limited to 30-minute parking in loading dock slots. Freight elevator accessible from both indoor garage and loading dock.

General Rules

NO SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited inside the space/building. Please ask host for designated smoking areas. CLEAN UP POLICY: Renters must clean up studio area by the end of the rental period to avoid additional charges. STUDIO RULES: White floors--no dragging of equipment/anything that may scuff the floors.

All ages are allowed in the space

Production insurance is not required

Furniture and decorations may be moved

Furniture and decorations may be moved around the space with prior approval. Please check in with your studio monitor before moving any items.

Security cameras and recording devices

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.
