Perfect Daylight Space w/ elevator In Central Chinatown 1500 sq.ft

Such a beautiful space and would definitely come back again. Grace was easy to communicate with and we were able to get into the studio a little before we started. The daylight is breathtaking!

This is a beautiful, huge light filled studio. The studio manager was very kind and helpful. He even made me an espresso! I was able to use the white wall for one background and set up a black background facing the windows so I got two different lighting setups without a simple pivoting of a few strobes. The cons are few and definitely not dealbreakers. The building exterior/entrance itself doesn't present super well, but most New Yorkers will get that it's the Bowery/Chinatown and understand the old school nature of the building. But I did have one of my models make a comment about it. I rented black seamless to use and it just had one pull on it that was already used/dirty which was a bit of a bummer. The softbox I rented wasn't there yet when I got there, but everything ran late anyway so it didn't matter. However, I know we all try to maximize time with paid rentals, and it would have been frustrating if I HAD to start setting up right away. Overall this space is super lovely, HUGE, and run by extremely responsive and kind people.

The space was beautiful and worked out great. Grace was responsive and accommodating with last minute requests. Freight elevator worked perfect for our load in. Comfortable environment with kitchen, large table, room for HMU, so we look forward to going back.

Grace and her partner was very responsive to all our questions. They were so kind as to let us start setting up at 2PM the day of (5 hrs before our event) because we explained to them the magnitude of the party. The NYE party was a great success. There were compliments all around for the look and size of this venue. We got everything we expected in this space. Unfortunately, I was very new to Peerspace. We left the space with trash bagged up and floors mopped to the best of our ability. However, there were confetti flakes stuck to the ground that we couldn't lift with the supplies available that night. Without immediately charging us a fee to hire a professional cleaner, Grace and her partner offered my team a chance to make up for our unsatisfactory cleaning. And so we did! They are very understanding! One point I'd make sure to clear up with Grace is the staffing on the day you intend to use the space. We found out eventually that the staff who usually tends to the event space was not on duty for our party. As a result, we had a few strangers that crashed our party. If staff is not going to be provided, I would highly recommend paying for one out of pocket, especially if it is a large party.

Grace was a pleasure to work with. She was incredibly responsive from the moment the reservation was made and her property manager, Tao, went above and beyond to make our day productive. I highly recommend booking this space!
