Beautifully restored villa with Old Hollywood pool and lush garden in Silver Lake

Riviera vibes in Silver Lake with endless photo locations. Old palm trees, citrus trees, tropical landscaping, and vintage garden furniture create a mood of summering abroad. Our interiors are influenced by Old Hollywood, European estates, and artist residencies. The property has been featured in Architecture magazines and as a backdrop on the cover and in editorials of magazines such as Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Flaunt, Elle, or Harper's Bazaar. The main and lower levels of the house are available for photography; the third, upper floor is private. All spaces pictured on Peerspace are available. The lowest floor is easily identified in the pictures with its clean architecture, extra high ceilings, painted walls, black-framed sliding glass doors, grey/cream-colored vintage tiles, and over 10 ft high antique wood doors. It has four different spaces: 1. A large room in different shades of green with a green staircase, an oversized painted vintage double wood door, and one white wall for lookbook photography. 2. A French blue hallway. 3. A bathroom with green vanity, palm leaf shower curtain, and tub with brass faucet. 4. The pink room is ideal for wardrobe and make-up with a table, chair, Jiffy steamer, clothes rack, wall mirror, and some props such as additional art, fabrics, rugs, and stools. It's painted in a warm french coral, and dark rose pink. The large mural hides a Murphy bed and was the backdrop of a GQ magazine cover. All of these rooms open up to a large patio with the same tiles and a large garden house. This partially open garden house has a 16 ft high ceiling, a blue Morrocan double door, ceiling fans, and a conservatory-inspired outdoor bar including a mini-fridge, sink, and a dining table for catering and lunch. The dark paint makes colors pop, ideal for food, plant, and accessory photography. The shelves are styled like pictured. There are six rooms / spaces on the main floor: 1. An entrance hall with a staircase. 2. The library / living room is painted in dark shades of green and off-black, has a vaulted wood ceiling, fireplace, antique hand sconces, and a dramatic panorama window overlooking palm trees, yard, pool, and hills of Silver Lake. 3. The bright and mirrored dining room reflects the tropical views from the outside as well as people and objects inside the space and opens to a romantic balcony overlooking the yard and pool. 4. Our kitchen with the same great view through large windows that reach down to the honed marble countertops. 5. A small guest bathroom with a shell pedestal sink. 6. A bedroom with an antique desk, typewriter, and telephone table. We include different bedspreads and curtains to style this room in different moods: European antique, mid-century, Wes Anderson, or like a motel. ***Please let us know in the booking process if you're planning a shoot that requires van / truck loading, larger props, and equipment.
