Built from the ground up by homeowners Casey and Lisa, in partnership with award winning architect Mark Canada, wood wizard Andy Zinn, and many other craftsmen and artisans. Our new home was designed and created with sustainability as a key guiding principle. The heart of our home is a grand open room, built with intention for entertaining. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are merged into one, with over 1300 square foot floor space and a ceiling height that peaks out at 26 feet! A synergistic balance of wood, stone, and metal brings a peaceful aliveness to the space. With over 130 sq ft of quartz composite counter space and stainless steel professional grade appliances, this intimate yet spacious exhibition kitchen will inspire. The abundant natural light is perfect for cooking videography and food photography. The dining area seats up 18 people, 10 at the imported Balinese table and 8 at the massive counter. There is ample area for dinners, work retreats, brainstorming sessions, and networking events. The great room seating area is anchored by an exquisite fireplace constructed of locally sourced but rare, crystalline cave stone, and features a floating chocolate lueder limestone hearth and built in glass shelves. The large sectional sofa seats 5 easily (or more if you’re with good friends!) The extraordinary ceiling height combined with the exposed rafters and decking help to create a rich acoustic quality in the great room, making it an ideal space for solo or small ensemble musical performances. Our home sits on an acre of land, nestled in the heart of a modest rural-suburban neighborhood between Austin and Cedar Park. Cool lush green grass offers an expansive space for your leisure activities. A grove of Live Oak trees in front of the house provides shade and privacy. There is off-street parking for 12 to 16 cars. The property is easily accessible and just 5 minutes away from three major thoroughfares. A typical non-peak hour drive to or from downtown Austin is about 25 minutes. The property is powered by solar energy and water for the property is provided by an onsite well. After basic filtration to remove the the limestone particulates, the water for the house is then processed by a reverse osmosis system, ensuring that every drop out of every faucet is sparkling pure. Debbie B. booked a professional training workshops for 10 people
Our hosts were very responsive, friendly, and hospitable. The house is beautiful. It was perfect for our 10-person workshop.
Dionte M. booked an off-site for 35 people
Lisa was super responsive as a host. If you’re looking for a space for no more than 30 people. I believe the $175/hour is a bit steep given the limited room options; nonetheless the space was very nice, clean and welcoming.
