ABOUT THE HOUSE Our Craftsman-style bungalow, built in 1918, has lots of period features including hardwood floors, custom woodwork, leaded glass door cabinets, and clawfoot tubs. There is even an original pull-out Murphy bed in the downstairs office! The dining room features a backlit stained-glass window from an 1800's church. In addition to the period charm are contemporary, California-casual furnishings. Think "Pottery Barn" and "Ethan Allen." Production designers have described our house variously as: old, classic, nostalgic, formal, casual, spooky, stately, quaint, and beautiful. To give you an idea of range, various parts of our house have been staged as: a basement dungeon, a lawyer's office, a teenager's bedroom, a retired couple's home, and a cult headquarters. ABOUT THE GARDENS The professionally landscaped gardens have four-season color. Highlights include a wisteria-covered gazebo; a furnished front porch facing an azalea garden; a hammock; roses, citrus trees, and the green, green grass of home. ABOUT US We are experienced hosts. Jenny S. booked a photoshoot for 10 people
This was the best house rental experience I have had. Not only was Paul & Doreen's house absolutely beautiful and perfect for my need, but they were phenomenal hosts. They were incredibly responsive and helpful from the second I booked the house. They helped provide props for our photos shoot and stage the house - Doreen even made freshly baked chocolate chip cookies! I would give the house + its wonderful hosts 6 stars if I could.
Zhixing N. booked a short film shoot for 15 people
