This multi-use barn was built by my grandfather in 1930. In 2004 I renovated the structure into two areas. Downstairs is a spacious room which houses a photography gallery, showing the work of emerging photographers from all over the world. A kitchen and full bath adjoin the gallery. Also on the ground floor is a screened-in porch with a day bed and chairs, and a dining table for 10. Through the glass doors of the gallery you walk onto the patio with a raised fireplace perfect for cool evenings. The gallery can accommodate 25 people seated for meetings or meals. It has easily accommodated 50+ standing for opening receptions. Kitchen equipment consists of a standard sized refrigerator, double sink, microwave, and toaster/convection oven. It works well for appetizers and catered meals. Plans to expand are in the works. The loft area of the barn upstairs is an open-design living/bedroom for overnight guests. A double bed and sink are tucked under the eaves of the tin roof - wonderful when it rains! On the back side, overlooking the fireplace on the patio through a wall of windows, is the sitting area with 4 chairs and ottomans. A wonderful place to read, or gather for a glass of wine and conversation. The barn is on my 4th generation family farm, on which I live and have two other apartments. Someone is always present and available. We are located 3 miles outside of Molena, Georgia, in Pike County, an hour south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport.
