Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

We’re continuing to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in our spaces. While we have always used EPA-approved disinfectant products and comprehensive procedures to effectively sanitize our spaces, please know our team follows all WHO and CDC guidelines to continuously implement science-backed insights to ensure our guests’ health and safety. We’re encouraging all of our team members to stay home if they feel unwell. To help incentivize our team to take care of themselves and their loved ones during this time, we’ve committed to paid time off, in addition to maintaining our living wage pledge. Social Distance As part of our tech-driven model, all of our spaces are equipped for self-service entry. You can seamlessly check in and check out without interacting with people. We use smart locks and simple check-in procedures so you can skip handshakes (sending you virtual hugs always though).

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from the CDC
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
Hand Sanitizer

Bringing your car? There’s a parking lot attached to the right side of the building. It’s not fabulous, but it’s free. Please ignore the signs and park in any spot you find. Like any big city, please don’t leave valuables in your car and be aware of your surroundings! Please let me know if you have questions about parking, happy to assist! :)

Lighting description

Windows face South and East. The loft is on a corner with 7' windows spanning both walls of the loft. Views: East (downtown city skyline) and South (adjacent brick building). Blackout curtains on the South windows facing downtown. Mornings and midday are brightest and the golden hour reflects gold and purple hues off of the downtown Detroit city skyline.

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

Ambient sound is usually between 35-41dB ("Quiet Home"). Space is on a quiet corner unit with one neighbor next door and one above. This is a historic residential building with neighbors. Sound can sometimes be heard on weekends. From late May to late September, there is a floor AC unit that vents in the dining room area. You are welcome to unplug it if you need more quiet.

Equipment loading description

You can load in from the street in front of the loft. There are two steps and two sets of doors to navigate. The elevator is historic so there are two sets of doors to open/close. Please be sure to close both doors all the way so that it does not remain stuck on a floor.

Staging area is available

Bathroom can be utilized for dressing. We have several areas for makeup, etc.

All rooms are available for shooting

Shooting the exterior of the building is allowed

Circuit breaker panel is in the entry on the wall with the coat rack.

General Rules

My neighbors are lovely, so please be respectful of their space, as well as the loft. Please walk in groups of no more than 4 as noise carries easily in common areas. Please wear face coverings to protect our elderly and immunocompromised neighbors in common areas. In summary: - No open flames, glitter, or confetti - No parties, DJ's or additional sound systems - No cash bars - No smoking - No pets Shooting on the king bed? Please bring a coverlet/sheet/duvet of your choice to protect our linens from makeup, glitter, bronzer, or tanners and avoid replacement costs. Thank you!

All ages are allowed in the space

Production insurance is required

For crews greater than 10 people, please email your insurance certificate to hello@decemberdecember.co. We recommend The Event Helper as well for shoots.

Furniture and decorations may be moved

We kindly ask that all furniture be lifted and not dragged to ensure the comfort of our downstairs neighbors. Wall decorations may be removed as long as they are replaced.

No smoke machines allowed

No nudity allowed

Security cameras and recording devices

Please be aware that there are security cameras at the outside entrance of the space, throughout the building, and outside of the building. Cameras are NOT internal to the space. Additionally, this space may engage a noise and/or occupancy meter to help ensure that the noise level never goes above 50dB for our residential neighbors. Please reach out if you have any questions about your noise needs, etc.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

All Bookings are subject to Peerspace’s Grace Period policy which provides a full refund for Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from receipt of a Booking Confirmation but no later than 48 hours prior to the Event start time.

Flexible

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

This space is so beautiful! These pictures really don't do justice at all. This space is super photogenic, clean, and spacious! Danielle was super helpful and friendly through the entire process and communicated with me from start to finish! She also went above and beyond for me and my team by providing extra items for us on set. I will surely be booking again! Side note: the best lighting for my pictures fell between 10a-1p the day started out pretty cloudy, until the sun came out)
