About the Space
We are a new neighborhood bar in Park View. We prioritize contributing to our community by keeping our prices affordable, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds and identities, and doing whatever we can to ensure that every customer has great experience during each visit. And we added a new back patio last summer to allow for outdoor events that can be safer in the pandemic! We love hosting events of all kinds, whether its a birthday party, wedding reception, baby shower, work happy hour, volunteer meet up, watch party, or any other reason people need a comfy place to gather. Our normal capacity is ~50 people. (NOTE: all customers must agree to abide by all other COVID restrictions for bars & restaurants in DC). We offer specially designed cocktails of our own creation featuring fresh cardamom, ginger, cucumber, mint, basil, and other exciting flavors, plus wine, bubbly, and a slate of draft beers. Don't drink? Don't worry! We’re have tasty non-alcoholic options too. Hungry? We have fresh food options throughout the week, including tasty tacos and quesadillas (beef, chicken, shrimp and cauliflower), plus , fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, homemade salsas, and Philly cheese steaks. Details: When you choose Smitty's for your event, we are happy to offer: - the whole outdoor bar patio for your use - drink specials for your group - decorating the space as you'd like - control of the music - specialized food menu when possible ***IMPORTANT INFORMATION*** - every guest must adhere to DC's current COVID rules for bars and restaurants, including social distancing and wearing masks where required. Those that do not may be asked to leave. - a bar minimum will apply for certain days/times - open bars are possible (the customer must start a tab to cover open bar charges) -party-dependent, a 20% gratuity may be automatically applied to all tabs during events - outside alcohol is not permitted per DC laws - outside food is potentially permissible, but may require a $150 fee - a cleaning fee of $100 may be charged if there is an excessive mess Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. - The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

We rented the patio for a birthday party and could not have been happier - Kaleab and Andrew were communicative and responsive leading up to the event. The space was great (even for a group like ours that had little kids), music setup was easy, and the fire tables let us stay and enjoy the space once it cooled off. The food and drinks were delicious, and every person at the party commented on how great the space was. We are so glad we found Smitty's!

Andrew and Kaleab were great in helping me throw my husband's birthday party out in the back patio. Everyone had an amazing time and the food/drinks were delicious. Would highly recommend going to Smitty's for any intimate affair.

This location is INCREDIBLE and Kaleab is the absolute BEST! The venue was even more beautiful than the pictures show with added string lights and decorations. Kaleab and Andrew worked with me for a surprise 30th birthday to design a custom cocktail, set up decorating times, and even adjusted the cost to better fit my budget. I will absolutely be returning to Smitty's for casual bar nights again and will 10/10 book again for a future event. Thank you Kaleab!!!!!!

I hosted my 30th birthday at Smitty's and it was an absolute BLAST! The patio was a perfect place for my guests and I. All of the staff were amazing and made everyone feel welcomed. The food and drink menu was great! I highly recommend the lemongrass cocktail! We were able to play music and set up decorations as well! I would definitely recommend renting out this space and I'll be going back for sure!
