We prioritize contributing to our community by keeping our prices affordable, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds and identities, and doing whatever we can to ensure that every customer has great experience during each visit. And we just opened our beautiful new back patio! We love hosting events of all kinds, whether its a birthday party, work happy hour, non-profit meeting, volunteer happy hour, interest group meet up, watch party, or any other reason people need a comfy place to gather. Our normal capacity is ~50-60 people (under COVID restrictions, we can only accommodate ~20-25 and must require that everyone follows DC's current rules for bars and restaurants) We offer specially designed cocktails of our own creation featuring fresh cardamom, ginger, cucumber, mint, basil, rosemary and other exciting flavors, plus wine, bubbly, and a slate of rotating beers that customers can help select. Don't drink? Don't worry! We’re have tasty non-alcoholic options too. Hungry? We have fresh food options throughout the week, including Colombian arepas, Ethiopian sambusas, chicken wings, quesadillas, spannakopita and other tasty treats. Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. What a great find! Through the entire birthday party planning process, Dave was prompt to respond, and very accommodating. The event was a hit! Everyone felt welcomed, and the space was wonderful for our group (20ish guests) to mingle and have places to sit. Plus the coordinated menu for food and signature drinks came together wonderfully. Looking forward to more events at Smitty's!
