Done loads of different events from Cocktail Parties to art classes. Blank canvas that can be setup to suit your needs. We can open up the space with no furniture or place out tables and chairs around. You can have access to food, alcohol, TV, speaker with microphone and restrooms. Thanks for interest, we would love to host your event. The venue is a Bar and Grill. It is a backroom, separate from the front bar. You are more than welcome to come and view the space anytime. We are the Grill On The Hill located at 1624 Amsterdam Ave, corner of West 140th Street. Feel free to stop by and take a look at the backroom. The setup has changed since the photos, there is now booth seating. We have a pool table in there which we move out of the way for events. Then place hightop tables and stools in its place. As we are a licensed venue, all food and drinks must be bought in house (no outside food or drinks). !!! No underage events allowed !!! We are a Liquor Licensed venue, must be over 21 years old. Children's parties are ok during the day. Checkout our menu whilst you are there. Your guests can buy their own food and drinks or we do offer packages. Also have a speaker system with microphone so you can play your own music or just play what is on in the front bar. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you, Richard, Grill on the Hill was perfect for my Book Release Party. The space was as advertised. It was intimate and all of the guests agreed it was great for the book launch. Your staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was on point as well. Everyone is still talking about those Apple Martinis. Richard, I appreciate how helpful you were in answering all my questions and addressing my concerns. I look forward to booking with you again.

Richard is great at communicating. He allowed us to come in earlier before the booking time- and we cleaned the place the way I like- I'm very picky about cleanliness. Thank you for that, Richard. We had a baby shower in the back room of the bar with about 50 guests. Space is great, just as described & totally worth the price. I only wish that we had a better service since we didn't get an option to bring our own food- we had to order everything from their kitchen and the bar, food I ordered a week in advance. They had only 1 person serving the whole place on Saturday evening, towards the end of the night 1 more bartender joined. But since we payed for food and drinks - and were charged 20% gratuity on everything- I expected to have a proper service for the money we spent. I personally had to go back and forth between the space and the bar with empty buckets, ask to change the trash, ask for plates and forks etc... despite lack of service we had a great time, I would book again but will have to discuss the service situation beforehand.

- Richard was very responsive and answered all our questions leading up to the event. - The space was just as pictured and Richard allowed us to stop in and view it in advance. The day of, we found some shattered glass in booths and on the floor that we swept up and tossed. - The pool table added to our vibe but we weren't aware in advance that it was pay per play. One game was only two dollars but it was an unexpected cost. Also, if we had opted not to use it, we were told it would have to be covered and the cover was a worn blanket that took away from the aesthetic. - We were helped by the terrific trio, Pablo, Paloma and Pluto who answered any questions we had and helped us get the food and drinks we'd ordered.
