• Private Offices and SmartSuitesTM offer privacy and promote secure, independent working for you and your team. Suites are equipped with their own kitchens, meeting rooms and provide your firm with the ability to manage company-enforced social distancing protocols.
• Novel Lounge will offer more open space, with the relocation of all dedicated desks into private offices, new furniture arrangements with nooks and workspaces to support professional distancing. Hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies for client use to support health and wellness. Community Managers will have a temperature gun for clients and guests.
• Kitchen Amenities will have marked entrance and exits to designate traffic flow, trash receptacles with lids and newly installed touchless faucets.
• Social gatherings limited to 10 people.

NOVEL Coworking follows the cleaning recommendations as stated by the CDC. Our standard cleaning scope has been enhanced to include the following:
• Janitorial teams across the portfolio perform daily disinfectant cleanings of high touch areas including all elevator buttons and rails, kitchen countertops and appliances, bathroom fixtures, light switches, phone booths, and door handles.
• Regular cleanings of both hard and soft surfaces.
• Our onsite staff have additional disinfecting wipes or germicidal sprays in stock, enabling them to perform additional cleanings of high touch areas throughout the day.
• Cleaning products used have been confirmed by the janitorial vendors as being germicidal and/or an EPA registered disinfectant.

NOVEL Coworking has established practices for supporting social distancing which include:
• Discontinuation of Networking Events that involve gatherings of 10 or more individuals.
• Increasing physical space between workstations that are located within the lounge area.
Enhanced cleaning measures:
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from the CDC
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

About the Space
We have several indoor and outdoor event spaces for your private use, all with a gorgeous view of downtown Norfolk. Our 2nd floor atrium, 3rd floor lounge, and brand new rooftop deck are all available for private events. Pricing varies based on duration, day, and event type.

Parking description
The two closest parking garages are the MacArthur Center South Garage adjacent to our main entrance on the front side, and the Fountain Park Garage adjacent to our building on the back side. Monthly parking fees range from $85 to $128 monthly, unreserved spots being the cheaper of the two options. Monthly parking passes must be purchased through the City of Norfolk. In addition to the parking garages, the Hampton Roads Transit Light Rail (aka The Tide) has a stop located directly next to our building at MacArthur Square Station, and the bus stops directly in front of our building on City Hall Avenue. There is street parking available on Plume Street (behind us) that I believe is free during the week from 6am to 6pm, but those spots are usually taken.
General Rules
The conference room can be booked Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. No smoking is allowed. Outside catering allowed.

Very Flexible
Guests may cancel their Booking until 24 hours before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Bookings cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more
