About the Space

Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, city and state guidelines prevent us from hosting indoor live performances. We are able to open for film and music production, and socially distanced and masked day camps or support groups. See guidelines here: http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/coronavirus/reopening-la.htm#whatsopen We have two rooms; each room is approximately 25 feet by 35 feet. The Sanctuary Space is an audition/rehearsal/performance ready space with a stage, piano, PA system, and seating for 50-60 (chairs are normally stacked against walls, so entire room is open for use). The Sanctuary has bright natural light coming in, with floor to ceiling mirrors on the East wall. Also great for group dance/exercise classes and photoshoots. The Community Room includes kitchen and bath access, tables, chairs, and vintage accents including decorative fireplace and some additional furnishings. Room can be used as open-floor or sit-down set up. The Community Room has a more intimate feel and works well as temporary meeting and office space. Evening and weekend times generally book at higher rates. Evening events and workshops will usually include a percentage of tuition or ticket sales. The Sanctuary Space, as a performance ready room, usually books at a higher rate than the Community Room.

COVID-19 Safety: Please abide by proper health and safety standards, as defined by local and state ordinances. In addition to wearing masks, washing hands as much as possible, and social distancing, we recommend no more than 10 people in one room at a time, and/or having people wait outside and socially distancing whenever possible. Smoking/Incense/Flames: No smoking anywhere inside the building. No smoking on the parking lot balcony. Please follow signs to designated areas. No incense or open flames of any sort. Noise: Please be quiet when entering and exiting from parking lot door. Try not to congregate or linger in the parking lot. We have very close neighbors who are very considerate with us, and we'd like to return the favor. Light & Sound: Music speakers are available in each room; laptop or cell can plug in directly. Renters must provide their own source of music / sound. 2 mics with speakers are available in the Stage Space. LED lighting with a basic board is available in the Stage Space. Please DO NOT move, unplug, relocate, or otherwise alter the current lighting and sound set up without explicit permission. This will likely break the system for the next renter. That's just no fun for anyone. Props: Props need to be constructed in such a way that they can cause no damage to the property. Keys: Each renter will have their own electronic lock code. Entry & exit is monitored remotely. Renters agree not to inform any person outside of their group of the code. Security: Each renter assumes responsibility for the security of the space during each rental period. Renters are required to keep the ‘street door’ locked during their rehearsal or class, and return the space to a secure state upon leaving by locking the street door, ensuring the street, parking lot, and side alley doors are locked, and all windows are closed and locked. Housekeeping: Each renter assumes responsibility for returning the studio to a good state before they leave. All windows must be fully closed. All lights, heater(s), air conditioner and electrical equipment must be turned off. Trash and litter must be placed in garbage cans and taken to the outside trash cans when full. Please sweep, vacuum, or mop if necessary, and leave the studio in wonderful condition for the next renter. Parking: Renters agree to use the parking lot with caution, in accordance with posted signs. If using street parking of auxiliary parking at neighboring facilities, renter agrees to exercise the same care and respect as they would for the on-location parking.
