DJ, WRITING (graffiti), EMCEE, & BBOY/BGIRL comprise the 4 ORIGINAL ELEMENTS OF HIP HOP. the 5TH element is KNOWLEDGE! THE 5ITH ELEMENT - A SPACE TO CREATE & APPRECIATE. this renovated garage dance studio was created to give a space for people to express themselves, exchange ideas, and hone their craft in a focused environment. the biggest and most ambitious goal of the space is to bring back elements of the community that were previously very prominent... just hangin out! having a space that others are creating in regularly creates a living & breathing organism of energy. the mutual respect that artists bring each other in the environment and the energy of sharing space that we all have to respect and maintain as a community will allow lots of friendships, memories, & resources to develop as we navigate this experiment together! i'll (ian) be running this account for now, so the only time things won't be available last minute is if if i need the studio personally. have to have studio hours stop at 10 for noise complaints and to respect the neighbors. speaker will be provided.
