Funky Victorian with Art House Vibes

Reminiscent of a San Franciscan Victorian, this two-story funky victorian house is perfect for a non-traditional photoshoot: great for fashion editorials, boudoir, portraits and the like. The beautiful foyer features a large chandelier original to the house, and the west-facing front doors can be opened to let in beautiful natural light in the afternoons. A hallway draws back to the kitchen and backyard, while a narrow staircase allows for upstairs access. Taking the hallway back, you enter the red and yellow kitchen which spans the width of the house, with both north and south facing windows. The kitchen is funky in its own right, having a slightly country-cottage feel. The refrigerator is covered in kitschy stickers and magnets, and pantry items are visible stacked on shelves. Upstairs, the west-facing master suite has been converted into a sitting room with a large yellow velvet sofa, oriental rug, huge record shelf and working metal fireplace. This room gets direct sun in the afternoons and has plenty of natural light throughout the day. It has a heavy vintage vibe with awesome views of downtown through the bay window. There are two bedrooms in the house which can be used for bookings: Bedroom 1 (downstairs): This west-facing bedroom gets good natural light in the afternoons and boasts a brown leather couch. Being on the bottom floor, this room is sometimes receives dappled light from the trees outside. This room holds a large collection of vinyl records and a record player, a red oriental rug, and a southwest facing window with stained glass. This bedroom also has a fireplace (no wood-burning) with a wood mantle. This room has more of a rock-and-roll vibe. Bedroom 2 (upstairs): The south-facing upstairs bedroom has a small velvet yellow couch (which can be easily moved around the house upon request) and a south-facing window bench surrounded by plants. Notes: • Within reason, furniture can be moved around the room based on preferences and props can be moved around between rooms (e.g. pillows, blankets, etc.) • With the exception of the kitchen, the entire home features dark hardwood flooring throughout, including the bedrooms. Constructed in 1890, this house has a ton of character, and is not a picture-perfect in the traditional sense. The paint is chipped in many places, the decor is eclectic – these are the things that lend to its charm.
