Kelsey O. booked a documentary interview shoot for 8 people
Great space. Worked perfect for our film production. Hosts were easy to work with and accommodated us very last minute. Would certainly book again!
Kelsey O. booked a documentary interview shoot for 9 people
Great location. Offered a variety of looks for our film production set ups. Hosts are easy to communicate with, and super accommodating. We booked it immediately again for the next day after this booking.
Jennifer S. booked an interview video shoot for 4 people
This space is great to film an interview! It's quiet, comfortable, clean, conveniently located, has lots of room for setup, and there are several areas to shoot (outdoor sofa, table under pergola). Craig and Leslie were amazing to deal with! They responded quickly to my booking request, sent pictures of the backyard, answered all my questions, offered parking options, worked with my budget, and even got on a conference call! All the communication brought confidence and assurance that the shoot would run smoothly and be successful (and it was). I would definitely recommend this location to shoot!

We booked Craig’s enchanting mud-pit semi-last minute for a gender reveal for my wife and I. When we arrived, there was no grass. The entire yard was dirt and mud. When I mentioned this to the host, she brushed it off saying we still have trees to admire. Some of my guests drove hours to get to the space, so there was no cancelling. We continued with the gender reveal. We were there approx. 1.5 hours. The space was a complete disaster. Also, not sure if it’s hidden in the description but you’ll need to pay for parking passes per car. I took pictures of the place because I wanted a partial refund back for this. The videos we took (we hired a videographer) were a bunch of us standing in this mud pit. Everyone’s shoes were trashed and clothes dirty. Now, If the host had updated their picture to match the condition it’s in now or if the host had stated in his description that the space was in this condition I wouldn’t have booked it. Instead, when I submitted my partial refund request, he personally wrote me in retaliation, basically harassing me because I didn’t dispute it with him. Peerspace clearly states that if the space is in a condition different from pictures it should be submitted to them and dealt with immediately. I followed all the rules and even tried to clean up since we had confetti on the floor. Problem is most of it was in mud. I had brought a rake from home to rake confetti from grass, but had no tools for mud. This is usually handled in the cleaning fee the host charges, but I wanted to help. Now I wasn’t even going to leave a review, but I’m sure he’s going to leave me a defamatory review simply because I complained. Instead of apologizing for ruining our gender reveal event, he explained that November in LA affects people’s grass. I’ve lived in LA my entire life and that’s a preposterous excuse - and beside the point. If you’re advertising lush green grass in your backyard, yet in person there is nothing but mud, that’s extremely misleading. I haven’t received an apology as of yet, but he continues to angrily write me with falsehoods like “I should have come seen the place beforehand” or that “I left a huge mess” which simply isn’t true. Craig was unapologetic and unreasonably angry and rude. There’s no place for people like this in the hospitality business. I write this review to grant awareness to future guests. Would I book again, never.

Thanks for your patience! Great venue.

The host was very accommodating and friendly. The setting is beautiful and lends to great photo opportunities. Currently, there is no grass as in the photos so that can be hard to work with. Overall pretty setting in a great neighborhood.
Agnes A. booked a work retreat for 25 people
The space is really beautiful even though the host warned us before hand that there isn't much grass left from the events (didn't really bother us, but might if you're having an event with pictures). We had plenty of seating and were given ice buckets for our beverages and were allowed to bring our own candles. We were a bit frustrated though that we couldn't play our music (we were asked to turn it off even though we were playing it relatively quietly and well before 10 pm) because the neighbor was upset with the events being held in the backyard. Sure enough we started hearing heavy rock music around 9:15 blasting from next door which just put us in an awkward middle situation between the owner and the neighbor. (For context, there was about 15 of us only left at this point for a happy hour, there was no dancing or obnoxious drunk people playing games or anything like that. The neighbor may have heard our collective voices and was upset, but I really didn't feel our group was being disrespectful in any way.) We were also reminded multiple times to be out before 10 (we even cleared up and cleaned out left 7 minutes early), but it just felt a bit uncomfortable to have the owner standing there observing to make sure we were absolutely packed by 10 on the dot. Overall, this place is probably best for a small daytime event with no music or a film shoot, maybe. I wouldn't suggest booking if you're planning on having music or more than 10 people, but again, owner is nice and accommodating, just the neighbor situation and being rushed at the end was unfortunate...
