Most inquiries are aimed at our Studio A, the larger of our two rooms outfitted with genuine Radio broadcast equipment. It looks and functions just like a music- or talk-format Radio studio, and has been used as such for actual broadcasts. Equipment reflects a typical station from the 1980s to the present, with seating and furniture to accommodate an engineer, producer, call screener, and up to five on-air talent or guests (including microphones and headphones for each). There are four working SD cameras mounted on an overhead truss in this room for webcast/podcast simulations; these can be removed if necessary. Potential camera placement is reasonably good throughout. There are a number of computer monitors in this space, all of which can either display our own pre-assembled radio automation simulations, or your logos or videos. Most are Macintoshes (all the way back to an OS9 unit from 1997!), two are Windows. Two 43" plasma monitors on the North wall are DVD-driven, so those are available as well. Frame rates on some monitors may only have limited adjustments. Total square footage: about 400 (see floorplan in the Photos section). Within this same Studio A space is a two-person Voiceover booth, so voiceover sessions with good engineer-to-talent eye contact can be filmed here too. Studio D is our smaller Radio room, also fully functional and equipped with radio gear. In a Radio station, it would serve as either the on-air studio at a smaller station, or the production studio/news studio at any broadcast facility, large or small. Camera angles here are tougher to plan simply because it's smaller, but its two entrance doors also allow for camera placement outside the doors looking in. Total square footage: about 100 (see floorplan in the Photos section). Our TV "insert stage" has three pre-assembled sets for fast interviews. Cameras and TelePrompTer can be used as set dressing, or for actual filming (arranged in advance). This ain't your local CBS affiliate's News studio... but it's got some good possibilities. Total square footage: about 400 (see floorplan in the Photos section). Additionally, we have a lobby/green room, a video editing bay, and a room pre-decorated to serve as a '40s-style film noir private detective's office.
