About the Space
***ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL, DRUGS, SMOKING, PARTIES OR EVENTS. The 1200sqft space is centrally located on the intersection of 81 street and Biscayne BLVD, close to Midtown and Little River. It is a part of a multi-story loft building, with industrial/modern design. It is a sixth-floor L-shaped corner unit with South and West facing floor to ceiling windows that make for gorgeous afternoon lighting (see images). The unit has a cyclorama. The windows have a full blackout and semi-sheer blinds for natural light control. The space is available for creative and commercial video/photography projects, as well as meetings. It has a private bathroom, a full-service kitchen (available as part of rental), lounge area, and makeup station. Our team tried to film mid-day, around rush hour traffic and the noise it created. While the listing says that the location is on an intersection, it also explicitly states that it is not noisy except during rush hour. This is not accurate. There is clearly not a lack of soundproofing, but also it appears that there is little to no insulation separating the inside space from the loud noises of the traffic outside. When the team arrived on set, they were immediately taken aback with the level of noise inside the space - including that of a storm drainage pipe that runs through the middle of the room. We contacted Olga's assistant the first day of the shoot to notify him of the issue with audio and sent a message to Olga notifying her as well on the 2nd booked day. She expressed that no one contacted her or her team and refused to issue a partial refund. We got usable footage, but it will require extensive editing and additional voice overs to eliminate the issues with the audio. —————————— [HOST RESPONSE: “Thank you for your feedback, I do apologize for the inconvenience that ambient noise caused for your shoot, however I do expressly state in my listing that my space is not soundproof and is located on a busy intersection.
