About the Space
Small meetings/events, commercial/photo shoots or filming are welcome in this private raised ranch. Built in 1951, the home has original hardwood floors, a room of wood paneling, open concept living and dining rooms, a window wall with a serene view nature, and many of the original light/fan fixtures and wooden doors. It also features a wood burning fireplace, as well as a skylight in the kitchen. Tons of windows leave a lot of light in this east facing home. The main living/dining space can accommodate up to 30 people (with minimal furniture, standing room); three breakout rooms, including a sunroom, offer spaces for up to 15 people total. The outdoor spaces (up to 50 people) includes a patio, long lawn in the back and a wooded area up the hill for scenic nature and wildlife views all year round. There are folding tables and chairs for event or meeting style seating. This house on a hill keeps a little distance between the neighbors and the street, allowing for quiet and privacy. Nearby are restaurants, shops, banks, gas stations, drug stores etc. Mall with major retailers are is only a 10 minute drive. Two NYC train stations are within 2 miles, including Montclair State University.

We really enjoyed our time at Jayme's home! I suppose it depends on what you're looking for, but we wanted a clean and spacious outdoor area with a little space inside for food and a nice bathroom, and we got all that and much more. Jayme was extremely available, hospitable, and willing to help us with pretty much anything we needed. Her backyard was clean, she had tents for when it was too sunny, and she was constantly checking on us, emptying the garbage cans, etc. Thanks again!

Jayme went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She is the best host we have met so far.

I started out as a location scout and locations manager, so I've had a myriad of different experiences working with locations and their owners. I can say without qualm that this is the best experience I've ever had working at a location. Jayme, the owner, is super flexible, super kind, and even went out of her way to set up tents for us on a hot, bright summer's day so our crew of 20 could eat lunch outside in the shade. Her priority was always making sure we were all comfortable and that the shoot went as efficiently as possible. This definitely tops my list of ideal locations to shoot!

We filmed scenes for a television docuseries at Jayme's home and it was an absolute pleasure. The space was convenient, clean and a wonderful place for our 10-person crew to spend the entire day. Jayme could not have been more responsive to my many questions in the weeks leading up to the shoot. She is familiar with the industry, so also knew the right questions to ask and went above and beyond all day (even going out to get firewood for her firepit so our crew could stay warm outside while filming). I could not recommend this space (and Jayme as a host) highly enough and we hope to shoot here again in the future.
