Built in the 1920s, historic Quaker House was formerly an elegant townhome to diplomats. The home’s multipurpose living room features a vaulted ceiling, French windows, and a nonworking fireplace. Its doors open onto a new glass corridor on the north, seamlessly connecting this space to the west terrace and gardens (rented separately), the elevator, the Meeting House and the rest of the venue. Your rental includes access to a kitchenette and a small break-out space that can also be used for buffet service. The versatile Quaker House Living Room is a perfect venue for an office or board retreat, workshop, meeting, as well as for a small wedding, memorial or religious service, birthday, or baby shower. The space is optionally expanded by the 10-foot deep circulation space that opens onto the upper west terrace and gardens — or with a concurrent rental of nearby spaces such as the Bridge Room.

Tobore O. booked a baby birthday for 30 people
I rented this space for an intimate family celebration of my baby’s first birthday and everyone loved the space. Brian was helpful, very responsive and clear in his communication. The amenities (tv, speakers) included with the space were all provided and worked without any issues. The overall booking process was smooth and I would book again if needed.
KEVIN A. booked a documentary interview shoot for 4 people
Great team to work with. Will use again for other shoots.
Jason B. booked a memorial for 40 people
This venue was absolutely perfect for forty or so people to gather for a small memorial after the funeral for a family member who passed. Brian was very communicative and extremely easy to work with for booking and getting set up. We had multiple people come up to us and tell us how wonderful of a space it is and how well it worked for the event. I would 100% use it again without hesitation. If you are looking to book an event that isn't sterile and boring like a hotel conference room and isn't trying to be overly swanky like an ultra-elite club then this is your place. It was clean and very comfortable to be in. There were other events that were larger than ours being set up in other parts of the grounds, but while we knew they were there, neither group was in each other's way. One thing to make note of is that the streets are narrow and street parking is somewhat limited. A box truck was occupying the loading zone in front of the door which wasn't a huge deal for us but it is worth noting that it may take a little effort to work around the street and loading if you have a lot of things to set up or takedown. Can't recommend this place enough. Five stars across the board.
