Our studio space is 525 square feet, so while it's not the largest, it's not small either, and it works very well for small photo & video shoots. We are also a full service photo & video production studio, and as such we are able to offer a wide variety of equipment for photography, video and even sound recording for things like podcasts or audiobooks. In the photos you will see a number of blue chairs and a long wooden table, these can be removed prior to your booking, or if you need lots of chairs - we have 10 nice comfy chairs available. The space is one large rectangle, with about 400+ sq. feet of pure studio area, which is treated with acoustic paneling to ensure great quality sound recording. We have one wall with outside facing windows with a lovely view of the Allston area and surrounding neighborhoods. Windows can be blacked out as needed for shooting/filming requirements. The space is generally quiet, there is periodically some outside street noise, but it usually subsides quickly. This is true with the exception of FRIDAYs and SUNDAYs, however, as we have a next-door neighbor who tends to play the radio a bit loud on those days, and it bleeds into our space, so we suggest photography only on Fridays and Sundays. Otherwise, while sound is reasonably well controlled, if you are looking for a space that is always 100% quiet for critical recording, this is probably not the space for you. I'd say that 90% of the time we are quiet enough for critical recording, with brief interruptions from outside noise or neighbor noise that is typically quite brief. As long as you can roll with slight periodic interruptions if filming in the space, you'll be fine - we do it all the time with no problems. All studio rentals include an on site studio manager/assistant included, we will totally stay out of your way, but can help you as needed, and if you choose to rent equipment from us, we can help you with any questions you may have about using it. Our space has a wood floor, with black carpet in the primary studio area. We typically have the space setup with an empty studio area, and a small receiving area in front, with comfortable chairs, as well as a coffee station and mini fridge. We have a 55" LCDTV on rollers that you may use for photo tethering with a laptop at no extra charge. We do not have a dedicated makeup station, but we can setup a makeup table in advance of your rental at your request. We have a background stand always available along with 2 C-Stands, as well as a few colors of seamless background included at no extra charge. If you'd like a specific color, let us know in advance - if we have it, we'll have it ready for you, and if not, we'd be happy to order it for you with no additional cost over the B&H price.
