Sacred, spacious, urban arts venue

We are located on the historic West side of Detroit in a 1924 bank -- turned community lending institution--turned series of churches--turned performance venue. The versatile space is 1300 square feet with enclosed arched windows, a sprung wood floor for movement and dance, audience risers with moveable chairs for flexible seating, ADA accessible and gender-inclusive bathrooms, and a 19 foot high ceiling. Our space can be accessed easily via 96, 94 and M10 freeways. Rental fees range depending upon the activities taking place and whether we're accommodating individual artists, groups, commercial or institutional renters. The room is 1500 square feet, with a 1300 sq. ft sprung, wood floor and 200 sq. ft. of audience risers. The playing orientation is flexible. 22 chairs can fit on the risers, with additional rows of chairs placed on the floor in front of the first row, if desired. Conversely, the room can be oriented as a three sides or in the round performance space, with all or most chairs placed on the floor.
