The place was amazing, I was able to complete my video with no issues. The host was VERY understanding and flexible with my vision and did the very best he can to accommodate my needs. I would recommend this location to any creator that’s looking for a retro vibe.

The Pink Mirage is a well-curated mid-century gem and everyone in the production was highly impressed by the artistic layout, amenities (the AC/hearing is a rarity), and cleanliness. As described too! I loved how malleable the place was to work with. The props included at the place were a huge help with making the video more dynamic and fun. My personal fave was the telescope. The Pink Mirage is also a haven for gaffers, where there were plenty of moments to play with the different kinds of lighting offered from the lamps and chandeliers. We blocked out the windows for a more moody look and used a combo with our own lighting but all the sights from the windows were golden when not blacked out. Psst: definitely take more advantage of the killer sunset the desert has to offer because I slept on that, eek! Damien, the host, was also mega friendly, responds quickly, considerate, and let us finish the shoot just in time. We got everything we needed. This house was made for the screen and it shows the second you step onto his property. The property is also isolated enough that no one bothered us. A perfect place for the conceptual psych rock music video I was looking for. I can’t wait to edit together the stunning footage that we captured!!! Thanks rad Damien for your vision! High level Hollywood!

A shooting enthusiasts fantasy come true! This place is a blast from the past, in all of the best ways. Stocked with a 1960’s/70’s motif, the entire location is one visual experience set amidst the beautiful hills and desert solitude of Joshua Tree. With two vintage inspired bedrooms, a living and dining room out of That 70’s Show, along with modern comforts like a Roku TV & modern shower— this is a great balance between past and present. Being a photography & production team by trade, I was in love with the small things (from an N64 and vintage TV set, to an old RCA video cassette camera & deep freeze fridge) to the glamor of the curtained master bed and bedroom, glittering Piano out of an Elton John Video, and front yard fire-pit. If you want to enjoy yourself and have endless chances to get photos and content for yourself, this place is a wonderful opportunity to stage a mini photoshoot with the best types of props and styling. Can’t recommend this place highly enough for those creatives who want something different, remote and exciting to spend a week or weekend—but also are OK with modern creature comforts that necessitate a fun shoot out in the desert.
