About the Space
Thanks for considering 55 Chrystie in the Lower East Side/Chinatown. The charming boutique building was formerly home and recording studio to the Beastie Boys in their early career. This is a 1,600 sqft, column-free dance studio lined with a full wall of floor-to-ceiling mirrors, hardwood floors, and two back rooms with one-way windows that allow parents or instructors to observe during class. There are also windows allowing for fresh air and a view of Sara Roosevelt Park. Elevator building. Available for all types of dance and fitness: salsa, tango, hip-hop, ballroom, zumba, yoga, and group activities that complement our vision for a flourishing collaborative space within the visual and performing arts community.

Amazing space. Looks as advertised. Jonathan and Teresa communicated very well. Getting in was very easy. Jonathan was waiting at the door for us. Gave us info where we could eat and periodically checked in on us. Space was clean and spacious. Jonathan even gave us a Bluetooth speaker when we forgot ours.
