Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Really did not want to leave a bad review as I love supporting black businesses, but this place was janky and very unprofessional. I booked a month and a half early and booking seemed seamless they even offered to included the tables and chairs for free. I followed up two weeks before to confirm how many seats and tables I needed for the dinner , She spoke to me as if I was a new person scheduling. She said my date and time was available and to cashapp the money to book. Now I’m alarmed because I’ve already paid and that time should not be available. Anyway we cleared that up and I decided not to worry about it. The day before I confirmed again # of tables and seats. They then called me in the morning to confirm again. Perfect, I was very excited. Two hours before my dinner they call me to tell me they do not have ANY tables that I need to send him $150 for them to buy my 5 tables from Home Depot. What ?? I’ve confirmed with them many times at this point. I sent them $45 to buy one table , and my friend brought her tables . When we arrived , there were plenty of old tables in the place . I called asking for my money back as there were indeed old tables here . He says oh I rented those . I thought he was buying a new table from Home Depot? I feel as though I was scammed for an extra $45 , thank god I didn’t send $150. The place was DIRTY. Behind the bar was disgusting there was a blunt and clips. The garbage cans were filled with old trash. The bathroom was very dirty so was the sink. Pros: There is a deli next door if you need anything last minute . The lady is very nice . The LED lights are nice. The aux cord worked and there was a charger there.

The host was very accommodating and reachable throughout. The place was CLEAN . the light in the bathroom did flicker but I changed the bulb and it worked fine the rest of the night . The aux cord is broken lol I brought my own..... It got pretty Hot throughout the night, I had keep door open a few times for fresh air. Besides that I would recommend the place .. I would even use it again .. love everything else about it. Great spot for small event

The booking process was simple, easy. When going to view the space, the host and his wife were very accommodating and friendly, there was no foreseeable issue for me to not proceed to book the space. All communication leading up to my event was pretty good. It’s the ACTUAL day of my event that turned this potentially 4.5 star rating to a 1. Host was basically M.I.A the day of my event for issues like a flickering bathroom light, like something out of a horror movie, there were no mats for inclement weather at the entrance (it snowed the day of my event)- AND he suggested that I get one from Home Depot! I didn’t get the door code until about 45 minutes after my scheduled arrival time. The space was DIRTY. And not a little dirty like let’s sweep, NO dirty!! I went to the discount store next door, bought cleaning products and CLEANED myself. I was hosting a dinner party, I can’t have it nasty in there. So that part in the terms that states they clean according to CDC guidelines... a JOKE. He said his cleaning “staff” was on their way (after I arrived) with not a cleaning supply in sight. Monitor wasn’t hooked up to view my slideshow AND the aux cord had a short in it so it made this loud thumping noise and I had to use my friends. My main issue was obviously the cleanliness and the bathroom light. Like what? and the host was very nonchalant and non accommodating to rectify these issues. At one point he stopped responding to my calls abs texts. Lol. I was shocked because the communication leading up to this was superb. I guess you get what u pay for. Will never return, and will urge others to not host an event at the New York Ave location. It’s old, the walls are dirty, the tables are dirty, the bathroom is dirty. You’ll have to clean it yourself. If that sounds like an exciting project to you... THIS is your place.

I booked this venue for my cousin’s 31st party. This was at the new location on Nostrand avenue, so being that it was new some things were kind of missing, like toilet paper, aux cord and I would of liked a mirror in the restroom. Other than that the venue was beautiful . I liked that I was able to adjust the led lighting to suit the birthday girl theme. Tony was also really kind and helpful . He was a great host !
