Lighting description

Cafe Angelique has abundant natural lighting and is also well lit from several different sources (e.g. overhead, track lighting and chandelier). Electricity has been upgraded to accommodate higher voltage equipment such additional lighting and sound.

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

Quiet street without a lot of ambient sounds/ noise. Cafe is well insulated and quiet. All kitchen equipment can be turned off for production.

Equipment loading description

Load-in may take place from the street and venue manager will reserve spaces for renters. Production vehicles can be parked on street but should obtain DC permit if production is over 3 days; DC does not allow commercial vehicles to be parked long term. There is one small step into the venue which can be covered with board to accommodate rolling racks, etc.

Electrical system description

All electrical was updated in 2020; power ratings, etc coming soon. There are several outlets every 10 feet on right side of venue and 20 feet on left. All outlets have USB and regular electrical outlets. Circuit breaker is in basement.

General Rules

We welcome you to our venue and want to provide a seamless space for your special milestones! To ensure all guests have use of the venue, in perfect condition, observe the following rules: The booked time must include set-up, the event and breakdown. Please book adequate time for all activities; we cannot guarantee time extension and must charge for any amount of time over the original booking. There is no exception. The event manager/ host is present to check in/ out the renter only (e.g. show the venue, where to find items and how to utilize equipment.). If your event requires an on-site event manager, you will need to book a separate service. The renter is responsible for the behavior of ALL guests on the premises. Please treat our venue with respect and make sure all trash, debris, food, personal belongings, etc. are removed at the end of your booking. No smoking, including e-cigarettes, vaping, hookah or cannabis, are allowed. Only pre-approved catering, with appropriate licenses, etc., will be allowed at management's discretion. Caterer must have sufficient event insurance and current licenses. Furniture and AV are NOT allowed to be removed from premise, including outside. No excessive noise or music and no outside music or gathering. All activity must remain inside of venue and respectful of our neighbors. Any damages to the property, including excessive cleaning, will be charged to renter.

All ages are allowed in the space

Production insurance is required

$2 million COI with venue LLC as named insured. Regretfully, Cafe Angelique cannot accommodate adult entertainment production, or any illegal or regulated activities. We welcome artistic nudity or health/ wellness oriented use, for example, anatomy art classes.

Furniture and decorations may be moved

Furniture can removed, but damages are responsibility of renter. Wall must remain undamaged and all use of wall or ceilings must be discussed and approved in advance.

No smoke machines allowed

Security cameras and recording devices

Please note all security cameras (including remote viewing) will be on and operating during all events.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.
