The Great Star Theater is a 400-seat historic live performance venue in the heart of San Francisco's Chinatown. Complete with full stage lighting, 7.1 surround sound, fly rigging, an optional projection screen, green screen, and fast internet with 250mb/s up and down, this is the perfect venue for your conference, meeting, keynote, dinner show, concert, private screening, video shoot, livestreaming, etc. Optionally we can provide full bar service, professional emcees, technical and front of house staff, livestream and/or recording, catering, marketing, and anything you need to make your event a success. We are experienced event produces as well as venue operators, so we can be as involved or hands-off as you prefer. Built in 1925, the 400-seat Great Star Theater is the only remaining theater in San Francisco's Chinatown. Throughout the years it has hosted countless Chinese operas, international movies, local artists, and amazing musical, circus, and variety performers from the world over. We are a 10 minute walk from Market St, Montgomery St Bart/Muni station, a quick 5 minute drive from the Moscone Center, and halfway between the financial district and the Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf tourist district. We are in the heart of Chinatown with its nonstop food and culture, and only a few blocks from the ritzy nightlife of North Beach (Little Italy).
