The J. Neely Johnson House is an 1853 Greek Revival residence, previously owned by the youngest governor of California: thirty year old, J. Neely Johnson The House is Sacramento’s oldest surviving residence, having once been the home to several Early California elected officials, including a State Treasurer and Supreme Court Justice. The house is a fashionable mix of old style, and modern art and culture. It's the perfect setting for fashion, still life photography, portraits, and lifestyle photography. A lot of attention was paid during the most recent restoration to beautiful surfaces and details. All the wallpapers in the house have wonderful prints, or embossing, the wood floors are beautifully done. The colors are fashionable, this is not your ordinary Victorian mansion.
