About the Space

Our studio is a large 1800 square foot Toronto studio can be rented for photography and videography production. It’s the perfect place to create your next great photo or video project with our vintage furniture, 13′ ceilings, and textured backgrounds. Plus you’ll love our huge west-facing windows which provide amazing natural light. Access to all the shooting spaces are included in your rental. Our studio is a 5 set, open concept space studio with a vintage and eclectic feel. The props can be moved around and positioned how you need them. There is also a large makeup workstation and a basic kitchen. The windows face westward towards the Toronto skyline and can be diffused by the window sheers or 90%+ blocked out with the curtains. At the back of the studio there is a kitchen and full function makeup area. There is also a waiting area when you walk in the door. LOCATION: Our studio is also located on the eastern edge of downtown Toronto near Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue with street parking around the building and easy access to TTC with a stop at Carroll Street right by the front door.

• 24-48 hours before your rental you will be provided with a studio access code which will work right at the scheduled time of your rental • You MUST lock the door if you are the last renter at the studio. If you do not there is a $250 fine and you will be responsible for any damage or theft of equipment at the studio You must clean up all garbage, clean dishes you used and sweep the studio if there is any debris you left on the floor. Failure to do this, will result in a $200 cleaning fee • Please make sure all the lights are turned off • If you used any of the supplied radio triggers, make sure you returned them to the makeup table drawer Equipment Included With Your Rental • All props in the studio are included unless they are on the back shelves • White and black v-flats are located in the rolling wall • All lighting equipment and light stands are included with your rental. • TTL radio triggers for Canon, Nikon, Fuji & Sony are located in the black trolly Sound & Music • Our studio is in an old factory building with minimal soundproofing in downtown Toronto so we can not guarantee absolute silence if you are recording audio. • You’re more than welcome to play music with our sound system but you MUST keep music at a level that will not disturb others in the building. If we receive a noice complaint, there is a $200 fine. Things You Should Know • There is a large makeup station at the studio that your makeup team can use • The building has a freight elevator with loading dock access. Please arrange this ahead of time • The building is NOT wheelchair accessible unfortunately • Wifi is available at the studio. The network and password is located by the makeup table OVERTIME Per Peerspace's policy, overtime will be billed in half-hour increments. The space must be vacated and all items brought into the space must be removed by the end time of your booking reservation. The door lock will be used to determine your exit time. Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments at a rate of 1.5 times our stated hourly rate. CLEANING / DAMAGES Cleaning fee is included in the hourly rate, although guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it in. Guests must respect the space and we ask/appreciate that guests tidy up after themselves. Guest must remove any equipment or rentals you bring in, and you should factor this setup and teardown time in your booking hours. Although smoke machines are permitted, by the time your rental ends, all residual smoke MUST be cleared or it can impact the next renters. Failure to do this will result in a $200 charge and if it affects subsequent renters, you have to absorb their costs as well. Please take great care of our space. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed. Damages (walls, floors, furniture, etc) will be billed to the credit card on file with Peerspace. MISCELLANEOUS There is no smoking allowed in the space. No glitter or confetti can be used. Please refer to Peerspace’s Terms and Conditions for all other rules.
