About the Space
HFS is a creative studio space designed as a simple blank canvas, a place to bring your creative ideas alive. A modern creative studio space fashioned out of a 1920's auto repair shop. Perfect for photo/ film shoots, events, weddings, art exhibitions and temporary production workspace. We are centrally located, close to the 10 freeway, between Culver city and U.S.C. FEATURES: ON-SITE GATED PARKING (10 STACKED VEHICLES) CENTRAL HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE MUSIC EQUIPMENT 80 CHAIRS AND 8 SIX FOOT TABLES FOR RENT ($200 flat with delivery and pick up) TWO EASY ACCESS 10’ ROLLUP DOOR FRONT GARAGE DOORS DISTRESSED BRICK INTERIOR BLACKOUT CAPABILITIES 200 AMP POWER SUPPLY FULL KITCHEN TWO BATHROOMS WIFI We divide our days into two time slots, we do not go hourly: 8am-3pm, 5pm-12pm, or full day. Ask about our late night pricing until 2AM, in approved cases we can extent the booking for an added fee. Music off outside at 10:00pm. *Ask about our weekday production rate: for under 10 people photoshoots, $50/hr *Pricing may vary for special holidays, Weddings, and studio and commercial productions. OPERATIONAL COSTS: (We require a onsite representative or security guard or guards for all events at The Hippo Factory Studios. The Guard's job is to make sure that the event runs as smooth as possible for us and so you can enjoy your special day instead of dealing with the door.) This is a separate cost than the rental and should come up in the total if you enter the right capacity. For events from 60-120: 1 Rep For events above 120 guests: 1 Guard 1 Rep Full day bookings For events from 60-120: 1 Rep For events above 120 guests: 1 Guard 1 Rep = We require every event or production to have rental insurance to book at our space for events above 35 guests. This cost can range depending on capacity and event type. We collect $520 refundable security deposit before any event to cover any damages\extra time\extra cleaning if required. $260 for small productions. We refund the deposit 5-7 business days after the event. This is collected Via Email Invoice. OUTSIDE VENDORS: We only allow into the venue vendors who are listed and booked on www eventorss.com (if you have someone you wish to hire but can’t find them on there NO WORRIES we can add them for no cost) Check it out, They have everything you need. Time frame\over time: Sharp check in & out - We charge 1.5% of our asking rate for over time. Please include set up & clean up in your booking time frame. Alcohol: We allow you to bring your own alcohol but we don't allow selling alcohol. Parking: Free street parking is available as well as 6 inside lot parking spots. You can stack up to 10 cars inside.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels

Love the venue!
We couldn't have asked for a better event space and staff to host our event. Hippo factory staff was helpful from the initial contact until the end of our event. Not only was the staff helpful, but the event space is beautiful with a great location and a lot of street parking available. We couldn't ask for a better experience and we will be booking the space multiple times in 2024! Thank you!

Hippo studio was a beautiful event space. The blank canvas look means that you can transform it into anything you want. The studio is well lit, clean and modern-looking. Our guests loved the space as well. The staff at Hippo studio was also great with their quick reply and follow-through. They allowed us to visit the studio before and after booking so we could take measurements. Lastly, I was worried about parking but it ended up working out well. My guests found parking on the street fairly easily. If you’re on the fence, do it.
