About the Space
Former machine shop converted to modern speakeasy with original black and white subway tile. Space includes cafe tables, a pool table, darts and bar seating, as well as a lounge with vintage furnishings. The art is an assortment of many of Chicago's most interesting street artists. Space is equipped with a full vintage Sansui stereo for music with modern Bluetooth adapter. For corporate or dining events, the space may be configured with up to 4 meeting/dining areas with tables and chairs to seat up to 25 people. Chairs, tables, white boards and easels are included in the booking. The space works well for birthday parties, dinners and events, and has been used for photography and video shoots. We also routinely book wedding parties to get ready prior to their weddings, and we have clothing racks and steamers on site to support those kinds of events. The building is a turn of the century industrial building with high ceilings, brick walls, and this space has street level access adjacent to a loading zone for easy load in and load out. Full kitchen is available (in adjacent space) for an additional fee for catering needs. May be used by catering staff only. FOOD & BEVERAGE POLICY + SPACE DETAILS: • Guests are allowed to bring their own alcohol, guests are allowed serve beer and wine. Liquor must be served by a licensed/certified bartender. • Outside food is allowed, onsite food preparation is only allowed with rental of additional kitchen space. • Music Rules: Amplified music is allowed by connecting personal device to existing speakers. Additional PA systems are not allowed. • Space Rules: Ticketed events are not allowed, Smoking is not allowed, Confetti and glitter are not allowed. • Ideal space for: Social Parties (Adult Birthdays, Graduations, etc.), Reception Events (Engagement Party, Anniversary, etc.), Dinner Parties, Holiday Parties, offsite Work Parties.
Guests are allowed to bring in food, but no cooking is allowed on site. Beer and Wine are allowed, although liquor or mixed drinks must be served by a licensed bartender. BYOB is allowed.

Full kitchen is available as an Add on to the space for onsite prep needs.
Food prep space is available in adjacent kitchen space for rent as an additional add on to the space.
5, 6' tables and linen table clothes are available to be used in the space along in addition to the 2 cafe tables, each with 2 chairs along the front of the space. The bar includes 6 barstools.
20 additional stacking chairs are available for use in the space. They are black Tolix style chairs
The lounge includes a green velvet sofa and two vintage Ward Bennet orange velvet chair. There is also a black Herman Miller LCW in the lounge area.
One microphone may be used with receiver located in the front of the space.
2 Channel Sansui Receiver with matching speakers are located in each corner of the space. Receiver is equipped with a regular aux in cable or Bluetooth connection.
Two smart TVs are located throughout the space, one in the main living room and one in the back room near the dart board.

- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Humorously, the only bad thing about this space was leaving. Adam’s space was amazing. All of the guests for my corporate event loved his space and did not want to leave. It is versatile for all sorts of events. Mine was a Halloween and fall festival theme but I could see this space totally being used for a variety of event types. Adam is extremely accommodating and is an awesome host who engages well with everyone and provides comfort and an at-home feeling. I’m so happy I chose Adam’s space. I definitely recommend. The space is really cool and perfect for a party. It’s spacious with lots of spaces for different pockets of people to congregate. Adam is a really responsive and great host. Would definitely book a party at this venue again!

Adam's spot was so cool, clean and ready to go for our combined bachelor/ette party! We had a blast playing pool and darts, listening to music on an impecible stereo system, and just enjoying the ambiance of a very cool and unique event space. We had about 30 guests, which this space was perfectly sized to accommodate. Adam and Alex were very helpful and accommodating, making sure to check in on us and communicate with us throughout the event. Will most definitely book this space again for future events!
