Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

We take covid19 serious and clean all surfaces, floors, mics, keyboards and all high trafficking areas with steam and Lysol.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
Disposable masks / face coverings
Hand Sanitizer

The space has the following features:

About the Space

Our studio is perfectly suited for recording album projects, singer/songwriter acts, acoustic acts, small bands, etc. We are fully equipped to record up to 8 channels of high quality audio tracking in a closed studio session, as well as mixing and mastering. In addition we provide an eloquent space for streaming DJ sets, private listening parties, podcasting, voiceovers and much more.

There are paid meters on Michigan and free parking on the side streets depending on what side of the street you park. Parking is available Monday-Sunday

Natural light can be blocked out

Lighting description

We have large windows facing Michigan avenue. Natural light can be blocked with our curtains. In between 7- 5pm are the brightest.

Space is soundproof

Ambient noise description

Because this is a professionally treated room, you cannot hear the neighbors. We are on a busy street, however the windows are soundproof. There are no appliances other than a microwave in this studio.

There is no loading zone. The entrance needs no ramp. Loading trucks can unload in front of the building.

Shooting the exterior of the building is allowed

General Rules

No smoking in the studio No drinking around equipment No more than 5 quests at a time unless for special occasion

Production insurance is not required

Furniture and decorations may be moved

As long as all items be placed back after removal along with wall decorations.

Security cameras and recording devices

There are security cameras leading up the stairs to the main studio entrance and in the lounging area upstairs. No recording devices in private areas such as washrooms.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.
