About Studebaker Studios

Our studio is a 40'x 60' sq. ft. rectangle with a white 20'x 34' cyclorama on one end. The space has been modified to be quiet and sound tight for film/video recordings. We have a grid in the 16 ft. ceiling above the cyc for hanging lighting. A very unique feature of our studio is the white flat bounce suspended in the ceiling. The 10'x26' bounce can be positioned about anywhere in the studio, as it slides on a 40ft track and has a winch to lower or raise it to your desired height. We have a "green room" off the studio that has a little kitchenette and hair/makeup bar as well. Plenty of bathrooms are available in the building for any size production. The large garage door allows for an easy load-in of equipment from the parking lot. It also allows for the entry of large vehicles into the studio for shooting, or for equipment transfer if needed. White Cyc - $150 Repaint Fee if needed pristine white floor.

Parking description

We have a large parking lot on the south side of the studio. We also have parking space for a grip truck/van near the large load-in garage door, and plenty of parking in the lot for creatives.

Space has natural light

Lighting description

The natural light is only available by open our large garage door. So yes, there is natural light for shooting, in that sense, but no natural light available via windows.

Space is soundproof

Ambient noise description

Is the studio complete sound proofed from all ambient noise outside the studio? No, but the studio is lined with sound blankets and measures have been taken to drastically reduce outside noise. We have a large sliding door that can roll in front of the entry door and garage door that reduces most road noise outside the studio. In the studio, the house lights have a fan in them that makes a subtle whirring noise. When house lights are down and your studio lighting is on, that little noise is eliminated. We are next door to an event space, that can have loud music at times, but we have taken measures to prevent that noise in the studio. Make sure to describe your audio needs on the day of your shoot, so we can collaborate with the event center to prevent any possible audio issues, (in the case that there actually is an event schedule during your recording times.)

Equipment loading description

We have a very convenient large garage door off the south side of our studio, that can be accessed with a ramp directly from our parking lot. It is incredibly convenient to load gear into our studio!

Staging area is available

We have a room on the northeast side of the studio that has a hair-makeup bar, kitchen sink, microwave and fridge. It is a great space for changing wardrobe, prepping hair & makeup, or preparing food items.

All rooms are available for shooting

Shooting the exterior of the building is allowed

Electrical system description

We have like a dozen outlets on the ground level, each on their own circuit. We also have outlets in the ceiling for rigging lighting, several boxes on their own circuits. Furthermore, we have a cam-lock connection, if needed.

General Rules

1. No smoking in the building. 2. Please cleanup after yourself. (Sweep if the floor needs it, etc.) 3. Gaffers tape removes the paint on the floor, so please use less adhesive options if marking spots on the floor. 4. $150 paint fee if you want the cyclorama painted fresh for your shoot.

Security cameras and recording devices

We have 2 cameras in the studio/sound stage that allows us to monitor the studio online. We also have a camera watching the parking lot. The cameras are always on.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Health and Safety Measures

We have posted Provo city's current requirement that all people wear masks in the studio space. We ask people to adhere to these current laws and restrictions. We will continue to wipe down surfaces in the space during this pandemic. We really leave it up to each production to do what's necessary during the time in the studio to keep their crew, models and cast safe during this time.

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
