About the Space
With over 7000+ square feet of artful space in Southwest DC, Culture House is an events venue unlike any other in the District. From weddings and other celebratory gatherings, to private dinners and corporate events, to album release parties and immersive performances, Culture House has room for it all. Fees include management , staffing, cleaning and security for 8 hours onsite - that includes 2 hours for set up, 4 hours for an event and 2 hours for breakdown and cleanup. Extra hours can be purchase. This is also assuming the FULL venue rental - if you only rent a portion of the space the pricing will be less.

This is an old church - the windows in the Sanctuary are stained glass - they could be blocked out.
Space is not soundproof
Ambient noise description
This is a very old church that was built very well. IT's essentially sound proof - but I don't want to promise perfection. We've never had noise issues.

Stairs, Ground Floor
Equipment loading description
If you want the 2nd floor space - everything has to come up stairs. The first floor is located on the ground and equipment can be wheeled directly in. There is no handicap access to the 2nd floor.
Staging area is available
We have a small green room - but there are a few additional rooms we could provide depending on the rental price.
All rooms are available for shooting
Shooting the exterior of the building is allowed
Electrical system description
Basic Electrical. We have to bring in generator for larger shows.
Circuit breaker can be accessed
General Rules
No smoking in building. Must be Covid Compliant. Must have house staff and security onsite at all events. Trash must be taken offsite after each event. On site catering is suggested but a buy out is possible. AV buyout if you choose not to use our equipment.
All ages are allowed in the space
Production insurance is required
We need COI naming venue management company as additional insured.
Furniture and decorations may be moved
The space is fairly raw. If there is an art install - we have to run by art curator the fee to remove all the art work. If no art exhibit no fee.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
We hire a professional cleaning crew between clients. We limit guests based on current Covid guidelines. We have extremely high ceilings and social distancing space is ample.
Enhanced cleaning measures:
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
- Disposable masks / face coverings
- Hand Sanitizer
The space has the following features:
