Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

As safety is our top priority with any event or rental at our studio, we take care to ensure that all standards have been met or exceeded. You can expect a fully sanitized space with very little activity in it in the time around your booking. We have provided multiple hand sanitization stands around the space and other signage pertaining to mask-wearing and distancing.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

About the Space

Light open industrial space is divided into two sections: a studio room and a lounge/reception area. Built in 1880 - white brick walls and lots of character. Includes: 2 individual bathrooms, 3 changing rooms, banquette and benches for seating, optional fold-out chairs in storage, Sonos speaker system with surround sound, and retail display shelf. Parking description

There's a parking lot round back however our studio doesn't own any spots in it. During Covid, this hasn't really been a problem because there aren't very many people parking there. I can also ask my building manager for a spot for the day for a small fee. Otherwise, there is street parking on Dufferin right outside of our building that starts at 9am. And side street parking along Melbourne / Elm Grove / Gwynne behind us.

Lighting description

In the studio space, there are 2 large east facing windows that allow the room to be well lit by natural light from morning until late afternoon. The high ceilings and clean white walls let the light bounce around into nearly every corner of the space. The lounge area has one east facing window, so light is not as bright, but there is plenty of track lighting to compensate. Additionally: the wall separating the studio and the lounge area is floor to ceiling glass, which permits the studio light to seep into the lounge.

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

Our studio is located on Dufferin Street, near the Queen Street intersection. Renters should expect to hear normal street traffic noise while in the studio space. It is less audible in the lounge area. Rarely will you hear from the business located above us.

Equipment loading description

There is limited parking available directly in front of the studio on Dufferin Street. However, vans and trucks can use their hazards to unload before moving. The space itself is fairly accessible. There is one step up to the main area landing. From there, there is a short staircase to our studio.

Staging area is available

There are two washrooms and three changing rooms located in the lounge. There is also an alcove near reception that could be used for wardrobe storage.

All rooms are available for shooting

Electrical system description

There are 6 outlets total. They are located throughout the studio and lounge space. The circuit breaker is located in the reception area closet.

General Rules

No smoking in the building. If you would like to use our yoga props, you must first receive written permission. Food and drink may not be consumed in the studio room without written permission.

All ages are allowed in the space

Production insurance is not required

Furniture and decorations may be moved

The banquet in the lounge, the reception desk, and the prop wall in the studio can not be removed. Any other small pieces may be removed from the space pending approval.
