COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

We hire a professional cleaning service to come every other week. They disinfect all soft areas as well as all hard surfaces. Between each booking we use 99% disinfectant wipes or spray to clean all hard surfaces. We clean the bathrooms and mop the floors as well.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

About the Space

A streamline modern theater in downtown Oxnard, California. The building was constructed in 1929 at the height of the movie palace area when hundreds of movie houses were being built across the country. It is the oldest standing theater in Oxnard and has an amazing neon sign & marquee that you can change to read the title of your project. The inside of the theater has been gutted and is empty and ready for your creative imagination to take it to new heights. Plenty of room for talent, production, and more.

Welcome to The Theatre, a privately owned Old Hollywood Style Theater that has been turned into a film and photo studio. You can change the outside marquee to read the title of your project or fit the narrative of your film. The inside has been cleared of all seats but the same stage that hosted Johnny Cash and many more icons is yours to create in. You can find this vintage theatre in the heart of Oxnard.
