This property offers expansive indoor and outdoor still and moving photographic opportunities. Ideal uses include music video, wedding photos, television and movie filming, private parties and gatherings. There are spaces available for overnight stays (short-term rentals). The home is Spanish hacienda styled, with old world detail both inside and out. There are tile courtyards and decks and balconies extending from each side of the home. There are glorious mountain views from every window, none of which are covered with any window treatments because the property is so private. The ranch is on a south-facing mountainside. There are horse facilities and a wine vineyard near the street entrance, with stucco/tile (hacienda style) buildings adjoining. The next level of property has the LoveShack, an artistic bohemian styled living space carved into the hillside, with a hip (chromed/bo-ho) travel trailer surrounded by tiled and wooden pavers. There is an outside bathroom, with a cast iron soaking tub, and an old piano installed at the entrance (outside). Across the driveway from the LoveShack is a large stone-terraced area of pomegranate trees and vegetable gardens, along with an iron gazebo where you can watch the sun set and the moon rise, overlooking the horse arena. Above the LoveShack extends the Pomegranate Grove, a stone-terraced installation that includes another outdoor upright piano as well as a 10x12 pad where a band could play, very near the piano. This area blooms profusely with lupine and poppies during the spring, and is lush with the growing pomegranates during the summer and heavy with the ripe fruit in the fall. It is sculptural during the winter, when the 100 pomegranate trees are without leaf or fruit and their forms are striking against the winter sky and mountain views. Across the driveway from the Pomegranate Grove is The Aerie, another outdoor living space that is rustic and romantic, including a 10x12 cedar cabin (also clad with galvanized tin), plus an antique Orbon (functional) range, 2 outdoor antique sinks and an utterly charming outhouse. There is another outdoor antique cast iron/claw foot bathtub here, situated under an oak tree. There are chandeliers in the trees that softly illuminate the space in the evenings (they are solar powered). Across the driveway from The Aerie and immediately above the Pomegranate Grove is the main house, a 2-story hacienda styled home with an expansive tiled courtyard in front. The white stucco-walled flower beds are planted with primarily large native plants including a variety of sages. There is a heavy wooden arbor in the center of the courtyard, which is south facing. A fountain is to the right of the entry door. The facade of the house has various talavera features, one framing a large nopal cactus, and another the color of cobalt simulating a pond in front of 2 large arched picture windows. Continuing through the courtyard, the slate pathway leads down to the natural (salt-water) stone pool that has a circulating water feature and a jacuzzi. There is a large pepper tree overarching the adjacent outdoor dining area that has slate stone footing under another solar chandelier. Continuing through the pool area to the backyard, there are several raised cedar vegetable beds planted with large, attractive plants (flowering garlic, tomatoes, etc), adjacent to an extremely lush lavender garden with another slate platform featuring an antique bathtub in the midst. This space is absolutely gorgeous and presents incredible photo opportunities. Beyond the lavender garden is the backyard that has another meandering stone path through mature native plantings. There are large pepper trees and 20' bowers of cascading white roses that border the rear of this garden. There is an antique Victorian bamboo bed situated on a raised platform made of wooden stumps in the garden. Nearby is a small stucco/tiled building. The backyard garden also has a brazilian hammock suspended from blue posts with charming finials, plus an in-ground large trampoline (approx 10' diameter). There is a large wooden arbor supporting lovely grapevines above the concrete patio that adjoins the kitchen in the rear of the house. Beyond the backyard garden to the north is a small orchard that houses another chicken coop. There is a greenhouse located in the easternmost point of the property. The greenhouse has a chicken coop adjacent to it that has a vintage stained glass door and charming twig roosts for the hens. The greenhouse and surrounding raised cedar bed planters are currently planted with mature artichoke plants and primarily lettuces. The house entry interior has an old world iron/wood chandelier and an antique wooden staircase (no nails, only pegs) imported from an English pub. The downstairs bathroom has a high-tank toilet with a pull chain and another cast iron claw foot antique tub. The downstair office double french doors open to the front garden which is always a profusion of color and light, and often peacocks along with our cats. The home's living room has a spruce-wood t&g vaulted ceiling, a two-story locally sourced stone fireplace, a long rough-wood mantle, solid oak and tecate tiled floors. There is a western styled bar with a brass foot rail. However, the decor is not western, it is more gracious and eclectic with leather sofas with brass nails, a lovely old upright piano. Also in the room are a green french harpsichord, colorful handmade wool rugs, antique chairs with tapestry upholstery, bookshelves filled with classic old cloth and leather-bound books, and a lovely art collection. The color tones are a rich brown, blue, green, with points of pink and purple. The dining room is small and has a gothic footed oval-shaped table (with carved jackal heads on the pedestal), and green velvet covered wooden chairs. There is a talavera tiled arched doorway that leads from the dining room through to the kitchen. The kitchen has granite counters, white cabinets, and blue/yellow patterned talavera tiled and white stucco walls. The upstairs houses 3 bedrooms. The front 2 bedrooms have glass doors that open onto a slate tiled balcony that runs the length of the house. The views are to the south and are gorgeous. The master bedroom has a gray silk and 24k gold leaf bed and silver chairs. There is an antique french deco armoire and double french doors that lead to a saltillo tiled balcony with a wooden railing. The master bathroom has cobalt-blue talavera tiled wainscoting with a hammered copper tub and an enclosed hand-painted tiled shower. The floor is slate. There are antique and interesting chandeliers and appointments throughout the house.
