A spacious mid-century artist studio that stands as an island in a sea of Victorian homes. This space was built in 1940 as an art studio for Murah Culter by her husband. Murah and her friend's from Saint James Court gathered to sculpt, paint and get together every Wednesday. Some amazing local art was created right inside and local pro-UN meetings were even held here too! A full renovation has earned our space features in magazines and home shows. If using our space for a meeting or photo shoot, you'll find a mix of modern and vintage furniture from our favorite local shops + and some plants too! Our art studio is in the heart of Old Louisville, next door to the Conrad-Caldwell Museum. Walk right out the door to the park or scenic Saint James Court. Everywhere you look is full of perfect photo backdrops, from park view with gorgeous trees to historic mansions. Also only a quick trip from the local art museum, downtown, and Frankfort Avenue. The space is open and skylight so it's spacious, yet homey. Depending on the event, it can be left furnished as a home or set for a wedding reception. The downstairs living room, kitchen, office and bath as well as the upstairs master bedroom will be open. Our studio has hosted everything; photoshoots, dinners, meetings, and weddings!
