Designer's Own Home: Bright, Minimal and Eclectic

This versatile space in South Austin is great for head shots, boudoir, editorial and light filming (very quiet neighborhood and no air traffic, but not sound proof). 2 hour minimum. I'm an entrepreneur and interior designer. I used to run a magazine and before that I worked on all sorts of film productions so photo shoot protocol is second nature to me. I'm here to make your shoot day as easy breezy as possible. DOWNSTAIRS: Included: High ceilings in a contemporary black and cream kitchen open up to a living area with a two story ceiling. There is abundant natural light in this space. The main windows face SE and get dappled light in the morning, followed by gorgeous sun streaks and then even, warm light as the sun passes over the house and heads west. Minimal, easy to move furniture (a mix of vintage and modern pieces) as well as original artwork, books and a healthy assortment of plants and orchids. Feel free to play with all of it! Add on: Neutral, calm primary bedroom that you may add on to your shoot if you need it. A large window faces NNE with lots of greenery outside. The space gets dappled light in the morning and mostly cool light throughout the day. There is never direct sun coming into this room but it's bright and lovely all day. UPSTAIRS Included: Minimal guest bedroom with colorful art and bedding + a couple of awesome MCM pieces (Lucite bookshelf and Vitra Panton chair). Two big windows face SW and get even light the first half of the day with very bright, warm light in the late afternoon and evening (direct sun for a few hours each day in the winter). Included: Loft area has windows that face W and also benefits from the NNE windows in the main living area, since it's open to that space. Some direct sun in the afternoon, but the neighbor's house blocks most of it. This is a fairly open space with very minimal furnishings. Make it your own. ;-) PLEASE NOTE: * The house is really bright and sunny (as long as it's actually sunny outside!). If it's a grey day, obviously, the house won't be as bright... please plan accordingly. * The gardeners usually come on Wednesday or Thursday (but sometimes they show up on other days). When they are here, it can get a bit noisy. They are not on a set regular schedule, and since we're part of an HOA, I cannot control when they are here. * All photos were taken with a wide lens so that you can see as much of the space as possible
