About the Space
The space is a cultural incubator & collaborative workspace located in the heart of West Seattle’s Alaska Junction. The Lab features a rentable 1500 square foot working space that can be utilized for creative productions, pop-ups, trainings, meetups, film showings, small private parties & much more.

Parking description
Paid Parking – There are several large parking lots nearby that are fairly cheap – $1-2 per hour. The closest pay lot is the one at 4541 42nd Ave SW
Free parking – You may park for up to 2 hours on the major streets around Jet City Labs, between the hours of 8am-6pm. Sundays have free parking. If you want to park longer for free you can you have to go about 4 blocks east or west of California Ave to get to non-permit parking street parking.
Space does not have natural light
Lighting description
Jet City Labs is in a former yoga studio. There are overhead florescent lights that are behind a fabric ceiling draping solution. The space also feature a Phillis HUE full lighting solution.
Space is not soundproof
Ambient noise description
There is little to no noice from our neighbors.
You are free to be as loud as you want after 5pm on weekdays.
The space does have AC which can be noisy, but is easily adjusted via the wall panel.

You can access the space through the alley behind the facility.
Use of freight elevator needs to be prescheduled.

ALCOHOL POLICY

If you plan on serving any alcohol at your event you need to obtain two things
1. A city of Seattle banquet permit (approx $15) - (https://lcb.wa.gov/licensing/banquet-permits)
2. "Day of" event insurance policy (approx $125) - We recommend using Event Helper (https://www.theeventhelper.com/)

* NO GLITTER OR CONFETTI
* Only approved tape can be used on the walls. Paint damage may result in additional charges.
* It is important that you leave the space how you found it OR better than you found it.
* No smoking inside the building.
* Outside catering is allowed.
Dance Bites
* Registration starts at 6:30pm - Class starts promptly at 7pm, so please don’t be late :-)
* All participants must fill out the accident & photo release waiver. You can save time by filling it out before you come. Click here for the waiver
* Jet City Labs can be tricky to find on your first visit. Be sure to check out our visitor information page for all the details about how to find us, parking, etc.
* The address is 4546 California Ave SW Seattle WA 98116. We are located directly above Matador… but you must enter via the alley in the back of the building. Look for the red wall just to the right of the Matador sign. Once inside the door come all the way to the top of the stairs and into the lobby of Jet City Labs.
* Masks are not required but strongly suggested.
* Bring your water bottle. (If you forget yours, we will have bottled water & some soft drinks available for purchase.)
* Dress comfortably!
* We have cubbies and coat hooks available.
* Your discount coupons for Itto’s Tapas will be handed out during registration.

Production insurance is required
If your crew will be serving alcoholic beverages, day of event insurance is required before production will be allowed to commence.
Furniture and decorations may be moved
No smoke machines allowed
Nudity is allowed
Security cameras and recording devices
Security cameras are located throughout the event space and remain on 24/7. Can be turned off by special request.
Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Health and Safety Measures
We actively work to clean our space to help reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
It is you responsibility to remove the garbage your event generates. Receptacles and bags will be provided but you must dispose of your own trash. You are not permitted to use the dumpsters behind the building. Dumping in our neighbors dumpsters will result in additional fees being assessed.
Enhanced cleaning measures:
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
