About the Space

This duplex home with outdoor backyard space has been carefully restored to celebrate the opulence and majesty of Brooklyn’s trademark brownstones but equipped with 21st century amenities and technology. Upon entering the space, a María Teresa styled crystal and amber greets you. To your right is a tuned 1969 Yamaha grand concert piano. Three fireplaces (one of which is a wood burning) flank the house’s parlor. A 65” Samsung Frame TV projects presentations, artwork or your favorite movies. Dolby sound permeates the space on Sonos speakers. RH, CB2, and Arhaus furnishings in mid century modern bring classic style to the space. A dining table which can be extended to accommodate 12 is a prominent fixture of the dining room. Floor to ceiling, sleek, touch-activated contemporary white European cabinetry are in the kitchen. Brass fixtures abound. Art from as far as Mexico and as close as Central Brooklyn’s bring strong character and appeal. It is the ideal location for wedding and baby showers, rehearsal dinners and small receptions of up to 40 guests. There are two full bathrooms tiled in Carrara gold stone and RH finishes.

Living room windows face north west towards a shaded tree-lined street. It is brightest in the afternoons between 1 and 5 depending on the season. The rear dining room faces south east onto a backyard and natural light is brightest in the morning between 8 and 12 noon. All windows have blackout shades.

No noise from appliances or neighbors. The houses are separated by brick walls. The street is very quiet and gets very little traffic.

General Rules

No smoking in the building. Outside catering is allowed. Discounts are available when booking preferred vendors. Events must conclude at 12 midnight and cannot begin earlier than 8 am. An extra fee is imposed for use of bedrooms.

Security cameras and recording devices

At the two entrances of the home (the ground floor and upstairs parlor) two Ring security cameras record video and audio. They will record whenever there is movement or activity.

Health and Safety Measures

Home is professionally cleaned between bookings. For an extra charge a cleaning attendant can be assigned to maintain the space during the booking.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:
