Downtown Creative Studio

Our studio is located in East Village just a few blocks from the Padres Ballpark, Convention Center, and Santa Fe Depot. The open floor plan, original hardwood floors, exposed steel beams, lofty ceilings, operable vintage-style windows, and amazing city view is what captivates the heart of everyone that walks in. Although the studio is on the fifth floor, there is an oversized freight elevator that is perfect for transporting large equipment. This space is conveniently surrounded by various coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Major interstates are also close by such as I-94, I-5, and I-163. POPULAR USES: Photoshoots, music videos, podcasts, interviews, weddings, conferences, parties, openings, and workspace. OVERVIEW OF THE STUDIO: Soul Studios is well known and loved for its open space and breathtaking view of San Diego. As a corner studio, wrap-around windows allow for natural sunlight to fill up the room. A kitchen, six desks, a kitchen island, and a belly bar can all be utilized in the studio. Wi-Fi is also available for our guest and password is conveniently noted throughout the studio. Although there are various chairs, desks, and tables, they may be moved around according to your liking. However, we do ask for you to place them back as they were before the rental. PARKING: Street parking is available at the Soul Studios. Right in front of the building, you will find up to 4 hours of parking for $1.00 per hour. Across the building, you may find different meters that offer street parking for $0.50 per hour. TRANSPORTATION: The convenience of being located in East Village is that the trolley stops close to our studio. You can find the Park & Market MTA Station and the City College MTA Station just a few blocks away. ACCESS: The Soul Studio is located inside the Ratner Building. A code will be provided to enter the building and to open the Soul Studio. In addition, a host will be available during your rental to help assist you with any questions you may have. RESTROOM: Although Soul Studios does not have a restroom in the office space, restrooms can be located on the second and fourth floors of the building. Directions can be seen by the entrance of our studio for your convenience and no code or key is needed to access the restroom. PRICING: Please note that set up and clean up times are included within the time frame you book. In addition, equipment for video recording is also available for a separate fee which varies depending on the type of equipment you would like to use. A host will also be present for any equipment rental in order to assist. More information on equipment rental is available upon request.
