About the Space

Leading to the chapel you will find an ornate spiral staircase and 2-tone brick walls. Inside is a high ceiling accentuated by dark wooden beams. The overhead ceiling fans help cool the venue during warm days, likewise the tall windows upfront and on one side. Open the windows and you will get a mix of two eras in 1 space (old & new). NOTE: The space has cooling and heating capabilities (i.e., air conditioning and heater). A stage and pulpit are ready for any speaking engagement. An upright piano is readily available. In the evening, round crystal light fixtures showcase this venue, giving it a dramatic effect. Virtual sharing is encouraged in the space, and social distancing is practiced. Definitely, a perfect meeting space for your requirements.

This was an incredibly disappointing experience. Jimmy, the guy who owned the space, was very disrespectful and made it very clear we weren’t welcome in the space. I was hosting an art exhibit and fashion show featuring black queer artists, and he said to me “I didn’t want to give you the space but I’m letting you be here”. He was constantly interrupting our flow of business as we were directing guest. As my artist and models began showing up Jimmy was harassing and belittling them to the point where some artist decided to leave and I lost almost half the models. This lead to major delays in the show and guests demanding refunds for their tickets.

We loved the space and the host. A must-do for someone looking for a church to shoot in DC. No street noise, spacious, easy for crews to operate in.
