About the Space
Archway Cottage is a beautiful large vintage cottage-style home very close to downtown Kansas City on an acre of hillside with 300-year-old oak trees and decorated as cute as can be. Located in the Village of Oaks, so not technically in Kansas City proper. Ten minutes north of downtown. Kansas City International Airport is 15 minutes north of us. A warm and toasty fire pit and eclectic Barn Bar are Instagrammable! The old-English style brick patio with moss and a colossal, vine-covered oak tree should be on Pinterest! Cool vintage bar inside as well as huge sunroom with 65-inch TV and seating for 12 or more. Indoor events may be limited in capacity to 25 guests. Outdoor events can perhaps accommodate more than 40. [Please bear with us, but it is now fall and the grass in the yard has taken a beating from the heat and summer events we've had this year. The oaks are dropping lots of large burr oak acorns. It may not be as green as it appears in many of our photos.] Please inquire via Peerspace messaging if you're interested. Holiday rates are 1.5X. - Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Super easy to book this large home for a filmed interview for a TV program. The house has a diverse offering of space, backgrounds, and settings. For our purposes, it had a very large sun porch that is great for a multi-camera interview, due to the large space and high ceilings. It's very close to the airport, so we did experience some noise disturbances, but it was also handy for transportation purposes. The owners are incredibly quick to respond and very accommodating.

This is such a lovely venue, with the very kindest of hosts! Linda went out of her way to go to the store and get us the fixins for s'mores! The kids were so happy. They went out of their way to personalize birthday signs for my husband, which was so unexpected and just above and beyond. The hosts are wonderful, communicative, and available. Everyone in our party was in love with their property, and for good reason! We had such a delightful evening around the fire with our dear friends! Thank you thank you! Definitely recommend to book.

David and Linda are the best hosts! They were very accommodating to our schedule changes and were always around to answer any questions - even while they were on vacation. Their home is very spacious and is perfect for accommodating larger film crews. Their two car garage really streamlines both staging and loading out gear. Would highly recommend to any film crews.

We hosted our daughter's 4th birthday at Linda and David's home and it all went flawless. From the early communication with Linda - to them welcoming us over a couple times to look things over - to their assistance the day of the party, we are so pleased we booked this place and just as glad to have met Linda and David. Our birthday party was a huge success and their large property allowed my wife's creative side to come out. We had decorations throughout the property and had plenty of room for bouncy houses and the kids to play. We are still receiving feedback from everyone who attended how great it was. We thank Linda and David for all their help and for a great first experience on PeerSpace.

We recently used this space for a photoshoot and had such an amazing experience. The house is so unique and beautiful. The owners are truly some of the nicest people we have ever met! Not only were they extremely flexible with our requests, they welcomed us with water and snacks all while assisting with the photo shoot in any way they could. 10/10 would recommend this venue for any type of event
