There are two rooms that come with the booking: *Live Room for Recording (approx. 16'x17') & *Control Room for Mixing/Editing (approx. 16'x17') The rooms have been extensively soundproofed and acoustically treated. We hired Philip Newell to consult for the acoustics. You can look him up. He's written about 8 books on acoustics, including "Recording Studio Design" The studio facilitates the following tasks : *Mix Music (stereo and 5.1) *Record Bands (including drums) *Record ADR *Record Foley *Record Special FX *Edit Film *Color Correct *Podcast Of course there is a restroom, as well as a small lobby with a Keurig coffee machine and a small refrigerator with water for guests. There are 3 speaker systems which are being controlled with a monitor controller. (a Martinsound Multimax). System 1: There is a 5.1 surround system comprised of (3) JBL 708p monitors for Right, Left and Center and (2) JBL 508p monitors for surrounds Left and Right. System 2: This is a stereo system comprised of Barefoot Footprint 01 speakers System 3: Finally a stereo system comprised of Mixcubes with a 120watt amp (You'll be able to check your mix on different systems to make sure it translates well anywhere your take your music) There are also 2 subs in the space: a JBL LSR6312 Sub and a Blue Sky Sub12. Combined, these fill out the low frequencies really well and the space has been calibrated to work with or without the subs. For recording we have lots of equipment: Extensive mic locker (Including a U87ai / Sanken CU-44x Mkii / Antelope Audio Edge Duo, Edge Solo & 4 Verge modeling microphones / And many more. Our interfaces are Antelope Audio Orion Studio Synergy Core and Orion Studio HD (for ProTools HD) These have modeling technology which mimic multiple instances of some of the most sought out classic analogue units. (we have the capability of micing up to 20 microphones at one time and will be expanding that to 24 soon) Besides the extensive Isolation work performed on the walls and ceiling (you can work at high levels without disturbing any of the neighbors), the walls are covered in Tectum Panels with 2.5" of space behind. The back wall of the Control Room is lined with 16" deep ACDA-10 units from Acoustic Fields which utilize Active Carbon Technology to perform better than any other technology for sound Recording Studio Design. We also have a motorized 100" perforated projection screen to project our 4K Epson 5040 Ub projector. To top it all off, we have a number of high caliber instruments to elevate your recording to studio quality. From our Yamaha Clavinova CLP635 electric piano, to our Fender Jazz Bass MIM, to our vintage Pearl Drum Set. So if your band doesn't have high end instruments, fear not, we have you covered. This is truly an incredible facility which focuses on sound and visual quality for our clients to be able to produce the best professional results.
