About the Space
*Please enter start time, end time, and estimated attendees to reflect estimated event total* Our studio is nestled in the heart of Austin's east side, just minutes from downtown with easy access to I-35. We are close to a grocery store, liquor store, many venues and nightclubs, and some residential areas. Our space is similar to a warehouse, so we share a courtyard parking lot with neighboring businesses. For this reason, we prefer advance notice (at least 3 weeks) for indoor/outdoor events. The studio has a full-sized garage door, house projection screen, portable video monitor, metal and wooden accents, and a parking lot with up to 20 spaces available. Pricing is $150, $185, or $195 per hour depending on the day of the week and time of day. Please be sure to enter the date and time desired for your event for accurate pricing information. Our studio/club of Monks Jazz has a capacity of 50-60 (depending on your desire layout inside), and events larger than 60 require opening the garage to use the entire complex. Audio and Video Recording of your event and use of our PA system are available for an extra fee.

The space was perfect as was the host. I reached out to Collin in February about an event in July. He allowed me to share my concept and just generally made himself available at all times for a question or a pop in for me to check things out. It was so easy that I was worried a bit we hadn’t fully aligned but the say I arrived everything was set as is and even better it was temperature cool (smaller space in Texas in this heat). At the end of the night the event space got as many compliments as I did for the event. Thats the subjective view. Quasi objectively the equipment is top of the line. I used two mics, a screen, a projector and the sound system. But the general acoustics were so good that I was able to step away from the mic for a large portion of the event and project without straining. The door opening and closing is visible from the stage but not audible. Sound bounced but didn’t echo. The light was dim but people could still read with ease and without table lighting. I could continue but it would feel as if Im gushing when I’m really wanting to big up Collin and the space.
