About the Space

No Large Parties - No Exceptions** Our property has a large amount of open, finished space (concrete patios and extensive wood decking) as well as nearly an acre of unmanicured open space with dry farmed fruit trees. In addition, the property has a new modern swimming pool, jacuzzi, heated pergola, firepit, and outdoor fireplace perfect for creative and wellness events, small dinner parties and corporate dinners. Cafe lighting helps create a beautiful and magical ambiance after the sun goes down. There is also a large entertainment room with a polished concrete floor and professional bar w/pass thru window to an outside bar area. The entertainment room opens to the outdoor space via a 14' wide fold-away glass wall. The area is unique in that is it open and natural yet quite close to downtown Oakland. There is ample street parking and lots of privacy. The venue lends itself to many types of situations and ideas.

I rented this beautiful estate for my intimate wedding party. All of my guests had places to sit and enjoyed themselves exploring the property, playing on the bocce ball court, and the ping pong table. The pictures don't do this place justice! The property is absolutely beautiful along with the weather. Kerryn and Chad are great hosts. I highly suggest this place and hope to rent again in the future.

We absolutely loved our time using Chad and Kerryn's backyard retreat! I booked their place for a small 10 year high school reunion with ~18 people. Chad was an amazing host who helped answer all my questions leading up to our event, he helped me set-up the space in the morning, and was there if we had any issues. We hired a bartender for the event and the bar was perfect for our event. The pool was the perfect temperature, we enjoyed the bocce ball, and were able to play a slideshow on the tv in the pool room! Everyone was raving about the atmosphere and will remember Chad and Kerryn's place for a long time. I have already been recommending their place to others! 100% you have to book it!

Overall, Luxury Ranch-Style Estate is everything it is pictured as. We are a Doc-Production crew of about 20 folks. Everyone was able to self report and park in the neighborhood with no problems. We had a couple of noise interruptions when filming outside, as to be expected when in the elements, but Kerryn and her Husband, Chad, were able to help quickly resolve the challenges. We were able to get 11 different looks out of the home, so diversity in spaces was plentiful. The home overall is beautiful and has wonderful hosts. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for their next film location.

Absolutely gorgeous space, perfect for our event! Kerryn allowed us to check out the space beforehand, put it in pristine condition for us, and was fantastic about checking in to make certain that our needs were met. Our invent involved small children, who absolutely loved the pool and safe trampoline.

Repeat customers! We last booked Kerryn's home in November and it worked out so well I didn't bother looking at other options when planning another retreat for my team of 12 this month. Since we last visited, they've made several improvements to the property which all added to another great experience. It's a great size for 10-12 people, but there are plenty of seating and break out areas so it could easily host (many, many) more if you don't need to all sit down together in one place. Kerryn and her husband are great hosts, very responsive and accommodating. I'm sure we'll be back!
