About the Space

Our modern and clean photo studio is located directly across from Malibu's Surfrider Beach with unobstructed views of the Malibu Pier and ocean from nearly every angle as you shoot photos or videos in our studio. Our main studio area is a large room 1,000+ square feet that has multiple remote control backdrops with green screen, black screen, white screen and gray screen options. Our studio space doubles as a Basecamp so you and your team can prep and store your belongings while you head to capture the "quintessential California look." Just cross the street for lifestyle beach photography at the world-famous Malibu Pier and Surfrider Beach. Only 20 minutes from Santa Monica, CA. We can help coordinate catering from local recommended eateries - just ask! INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: For use of our space, we require a copy of a separate $1 million in general liability and workers compensation coverage. The certificate must list the landlord and additional insured and that will be provided upon booking confirmation.

Parking description

We have labeled parking for our studios for up to 3 cars in addition to further parking onsite paid to the parking attendant. There's also tons of street parking on PCH and several nearby parking lots.

Lighting description

We have blinds on all windows and can nearly block all natural light with them. Brightest time of the day is 11am-2pm.

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

The neighbors rarely make any noise and only have 1-2 employees. We are located on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) which occasionally can generate noise such as sirens. If the AC is on, it will generate noise so we recommend turning it off while filming.

Crew access

Stairs, Elevator

Equipment loading description

We have a back door that goes direct to the parking lot and can be left open to load/unload. There are 2 small flights of stairs on this entrance. The other option is to unload via the elevator in the middle of the building and take that around our office side deck entrance.

No staging area available

Some rooms are off-limits for shooting

The 3 executive offices are off-limits.

Shooting the exterior of the building is not allowed

Electrical system description

We have many outlets and the circuit breaker is located in the kitchen.

General Rules

No smoking in the building. Due to Covid-19, please make sure you and your guests wear masks when indoors with the exception of anyone modeling on camera.

All ages are allowed in the space

Production insurance is required

Short-term film production insurance is highly preferred and should list "Vivid Candi, Inc." on the certificate of insurance. We would need a copy of this.

Furniture and decorations may be moved

Our main photo studios are basically in a big room and all furniture can easily be moved.

No smoke machines allowed

No nudity allowed

Security cameras and recording devices

Our main studios and front door have Nest camera's and are on at all times.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Health and Safety Measures

We do all standard cleaning per current Covid-19 guidelines. We have sanitizer available along with sanitizing wipes. We clean all high touch surfaces regularly.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
Hand Sanitizer
